I'm kind of suprised that nobody has talked about this show before on here. The premise is that a middle-aged, nerdy, highschool chemistry teacher, recently finds out that he has terminal lung cancer. He makes terrible money (being that he's a teacher) and doesn't want to leave his family in a huge debt after he's gone. So he comes to the conclusion that selling crystal meth would be the best possibility of making the kind of money he needs to set his family up after he checks out. He teams up with an ex-student loser meth dealer, and the two begin cooking/selling meth and get into all types of crazy situations, to say the least. I think the acting and writing on this show is amazing. For those of you who don't know, Bryan Cranston is the main character. I never knew him from any other role except the dad on Malcolm in the Middle. I was shocked how good of an actor he can be, given the opportunity. The show is on AMC, Sundays at 10. The 2nd season just started. I recommend checking it out.
I liked the first season up until they dude survived from the RV, then they lost me, I'll probably check it out again as Cranston is one heck of a wild man/ex High School chemistry teacher.
sounds interesting. please record it for me, upload it, and give me a link to download weekly. thanks in advance.
No prob, It's right on my list after: Establish World Peace Visit Mars Find Lochness Monster Revive Chevy Chase's career Expect it any day now.
They had the dude chained to a pole in the basement and Cranston is chatting away with him, it was sort of tooo creepy for me at least.
Cranston's character is genuinely a nice guy/nerd. So the whole time he's looking for any good reason to not have to kill this guy. I loved how they ended that dilema btw.
The (chemistry) doctor I used to work with loved this show and kept telling me to watch, but I just kept forgetting to set my dvr. Hopefully that won't happen again.
Breaking bad is a entertaining show and well worth the trouble. Cranston has a habit of producing the meth with no clothes on, only his briefs and an apron...it's a trip...
Never caught the rest of the episodes, maybe caught a snippet of the money in the furnace duct though..
lol Yea things definitely change quite a bit after they figure out what to do with the guy in the basement.
lol He does it bc meth reakes when you cook it. He hangs his clothes outside the RV they use, which is pretty funny. He doesn't want his ***** of a wife to suspect anything.
O yea, the main character's brother in law is also a DEA agent. Which, as you would imagine, complicates things a little bit more.
She would probably take the money and go buy a ****zu or something. I saw the one where they met the Meth Distributor in the junk yard and the ex student told him every drug deal he ever made was at Del Taco...that was funny..
lol Her and her sister pretty much define the word ****. His son is cool as hell though. He says some funny **** once in awhile.
It's probably been a year or so, maybe longer since I watched it though, so my knowledge is a bit limited on everything that happened since then. I did see the episode where they broke into the High School to steal a whole barrel of chemicals, that was clever as well. A pity that whole dude chained to the pole deal ruined it for me, I thought they drew straws as to who was going to kill that guy or something. I've gotta say though, if that were my wife, dying would not seem that poor an option.
lol Yea, I'm a bit confused why he married her. They show flashbacks of him being all about this other chick who looks better and is just much nicer. The dude tied to the pole was supposed to be Walt's job. The way they dealt with it was pretty cool.
I've reached the limit of my knowledge of the show Slickj, I'll just have to catch reruns or the new season or something.
I would def catch the episode that deals with them getting rid of the dead guy in the RV and the solution for the one in the basement.
Didn't actually catch any of the first season, but this season has me hooked... Bryan Cranston is impressing the hell out of me and the writing is superb... Hope they can keep it up for a long time...
That episode on Sunday was ****ing insane. It's season 2 episode 7 if you wana youtube or hulu it. I can't post it here for reasons that will be obvious once you watch it. That turtle, wow.
Yeah, I searched for this thread but couldn't find it.. The turtle was great, so was the TexMex band's "Heisenberg" song.
