I'm happy with this. He proved to be an effective FB and came through in short yardage situations seemingly every time he was handed the ball.
I think that was a third and something.. we gave it to him again and he got it second time around? kinna fuzzy memory..
lol I mean at the beginning of last year weren't you guys pretty high of Muaha or whatever his name was?
Ahhhhhh ... fuzzy memory here too, but I've got some vague memory of a third & < 3 then punt. Like I said, could be wrong on that. I feel comfortable stating we haven't had as consistent a 3rd & short RB since Csonka.
http://blogs.palmbeachpost.com/thed...6/espn-lousaka-polite-signs-3-year-extension/ Marty was right. My memory ... ............. .....what was I going to say?
And...we have Bess now.I just have that feeling he will be "that" go to guy in passing,3rd down situations.
A good choice to extend him IMO. At least we know we shoudlnt really have to worry much about converting now on 3rd or 4th and shorts Lou was insanely good at that for us last year.
this is good for the Fins because having a good blocking Fullback is one of the critical parts of a good running game which can destroy a whole team if you don't have a good running game
Lets see...Bernie Parmalee, Stanley Pritchett, Rob Konrad, Obafemi Ayanbadejo, Deon Dyer, Darian Barnes, Sammy Morris, Heath Evans, Reagan Mauia... Lets hope Polite can stick around and continue to help out the running game.
Pretty sure it was 3rd and short that failed vs. Jets and then we converted on 4th down anyway. He's money. Just has a "knack" for finding that little crease. The one "thing" that the others lack in short yardage, whatever "that" is, he's got it.
