Whats wrong with ginn throwing a pass ?

 

Ted Ginn can now return the ball, run the ball, catch the ball, and pass the ball. Versatility =

 

well yuh but he'd be more usefull if he culd catch good and not just be mediocre at everythin.

 

I've seen a lot of people question TG's toughness, his route running, etc, but never his hands. I've seen him make some pretty good catches, always with his hands and not his body, and I don't remember even one drop of a catchable pass. I'm sure there has been one sometime, but if he had bad hands I think I'd remember him dropping passes......

 

Agreed phineas. The dude caught 34 of 36 with Cleo Lemon at QB and one of those two throws were one-hoppers.

bout time someone figures it out -- we could have used these other guys to support us in the survivor anti-ginn bias incident

 

This is not only a response to RNI but also the fact that some feel slighted by the choices made in the survivor game:

Remember, just because some including I were anti Ginn in survivor we support Ginn 110%. Don't use the belief of who should win a game created of all Dolphin players as a bias, unsupportavie or anti Ginn.

Hmm indeed, it has been tossed around here that there could be a Ted Ginn package in the Wildcat, and the team has been practicing a lot of Spread and Wildcat during the OTAs, just what is our mustached, sunglass wearin coach with a George Costanza like frame planning?

 

Actually that play wasn't ran out of the Wildcat. It was your typical WR Reverse, stop and throw to the RB deep.

 

They wil have to admit. I am expecting "things" too because if he doesn't put together a decent (1,000 + yds) year its clear he was taken by mistake.

I just heard from John Clayton on SC that Brady Quinn is about to take the Cleveland job (and that Jamarcus Russell has looked awful so far in OTA's in Oakland). If he comes out this year, and looks like a pretty good QB, it will reinforce the mistake that was Cam Cameron.

 

I was pretty shocked we didn't see a Ginn package from the Wildcat last year, honestly. It was really the next logical progression, especially after teams like the Ravens started sending 8 at Ronnie.

This regime is looking for a guy that can dabble at QB, play WR, and make some throws ... while we drafted Pat White to be that guy I wouldn't be shocked to see Ginn take a similar role at times.

 

What I like about this, is that other teams won't be able to key in on certain personal coming in the game because anyone will be able to run it at any given time.

 

I'm glad i was able to convince a lot of people that I think teddy's a bust. I like seeing people actually agree with that ridiculous notion for some reason

 

Because he is forever linked to Brady Quinn and if he underperforms Brady Quinn in his career he will be considered a mistake.

 

Jamarcus Russell looks awful, period. He is the guy on the left.



as far as ted ginn is concerned i agree with rocky in that we shouldn't even be talking bust until after at least 3 years. not only because that's the cliche saying but time is needed. and think about it if we had drafted quinn we might not have drafted henne or white. i am excited about him making throws out of the wildcat this year.

 

And the most recognizable thing Brady Quinn has done since being drafted is appear on a Subway commercial... soooo...

 

he was at the cavs magic game last night....

 

Brady isn't exactly facing tough competition in Cleveland. Derek Anderson, who had one big year, is inaccurate and inconsistent.

The highlight of his career is catching two balls. Search it on Google and I guarantee you there will be at least one image.

Maybe the purpose of Ginn throwing the pass in a public OTA is to camoflage Bess working the Wildcat in private...

I like the idea of an UNPREDICTABLE offense. I lived through the Kippy Brown era....still have nightmares.

 

Actually didn't he fumble the ball 5 times last year?

 

After 2 years I think it's valid to question a 1st round pick who a large number of fans didn't even want in the first place. It can actually be argued that picking Ginn could even be one of the factors in why Cameron got fired.
