Berto is landing some very very nice shots. They don't seem to be fazing this man-beast but Berto looks pretty good.

Urango finally started to throw and Berto landed big shots on him. Fans are into it now. Berto is absolutely destroying him.

Urango is getting a little frustrated. The way he throws reminds me of how they portrayed Max Baer in Cinderella Man. He winds waaay up to throw and by the time he lets go Berto is gone. 4-0 Berto.

Berto wins another round but Kellerman is hating on Berto's defense. Urango landed a couple nice clean shots and Kellerman said he shouldn't be :pointlol:

I have Berto up 6-0 right now. He doesn't really need to do too much to win this one.

When Urango has an opening, or has Berto against the ropes, or has him inside he just REFUSES to throw punches. He's annoying the hell out of me with how lax he is.

I believe so. Kellerman isn't too thrilled with Berto in this fight. He isn't sure if Berto is good enough or worthy enough to face the elite fighters that are ahead of him.

That round had nothing happening so I'm giving it to Berto on principle. 7-0 Berto.

Yep, I mean I'm not hating too much on Berto. He's definitely fighting down to his opponents level which I guess at a young age and he's pretty cocky it's easy to do. Not saying I agree with it but I think he would fair well against top tier fighters. I for one would like to see him fight a Mosely before taking on Cotto.

I think so. He's entertaining to watch and his dismantling of Cotto was something to behold. His fight against Mosely was pretty abysmal though and the plaster of paris thing is a disgrace.

Yea that's the thing, how far back does that go. There are a number of fighters coming out saying something was fishy. Granted, it's tough to prove and the fighters coming out now way after the fact doesn't show to be too credible.

Berto "won" the last 2 rounds. He's busier than Urango so that's why he continues to win. 9-0 Berto.

10th round is looking slightly better. Both fighters are throwing more and Urango is starting to fight on the inside.. 9 rounds too late for that.

Now Berto is throwing combinations at will on Urango. Looks like he's trying to prove something this round.

Berto was talking trash to Kellerman while Urango was landing punches on his face. Very weird... 11-0 Berto.

 Pretty much. Berto is throwing a lot of punches this round in the midst of clinching every 5 seconds. Urango throwing a lot too and trying but the talent levels are so far apart. Berto dominated this fight and it wasn't that great of a fight. 12-0 Berto.

I really hope Berto can bring everything together in his next fight or so. He wants the huge payday his next fight and if his next fight is Cotto or Mayweather Berto might have some trouble.

Berto wins by unanimous decision. 1 judge gave Urango 3 rounds the other judges gave him 2 rounds.

Ezzard Charles and Archie Moore are some of my favorite fights and the 2 fights with Marciano are incredible. What a story there would be about Charles.

I still love the Heavyweight division and it has my favorite fighter, but the middleweight division and welterweight division take a dump all over it. The heavyweight division back then was the golden age of boxing. So many great fighters and memorable fights. Every fighter went balls out to make amazing fights.

It's time for me to retire for the evening, have a goodnight :knucks:

The Berto fight wasnt something that show cased to much, and i think Berto and his training staff wanted it that way. at the end of the fight, the first thing Berto said was he stuck to his game plan and did a little boxing. he was critized in his last fight for being to much of a brawler, leaving him self to open defensively, and not being much of a boxer. In this fight he did a much better job of throwing punches and not allowing Urango to throw them back.(not that he would of thrown any anyways). Bertos defense is what it is, hes not going to change that, he leaves himself open sometimes because hes very confident and likes to let his hands go. it is what it is.

Urango seems like an akward fighter to me though, southpaw, his stance has his head and jaw tucked real low and behind his gloves. He did what he needed to do, dominated by out boxing the opponent rather then out slugging with him. One thing that is impressive is how great of shape he is always in, everytime you see him go into the 12th, its amazing how fast his hands still are, and how he looks almost like he could go another 12....Also, I like Max Kellerman a lot, hes one of my favorite commentators regardless of sport, but he was down right annoying the other night critizing Berto so much. Even Lewis you could tell was getting annoyed with Max's comments.

Not sure who his next fight is going to be, but I dont think its going to be one of the top few welterweights, i would guess one more to build hype, hopefully Berto can get a knockout, then its a big money fight after that.
