Now since we have changed the signal, has the rest of the industries forget that there is an abundance of "small portable analog TVs" to replace??? If there is a power failure, how would you power up the converter box for the small TVs??? other than a generator... Suggestions???
It is really amazing that the industry is way behind the times... makes me wonder why??? I mean, the industy is heavy on the flat pane LCD's but they have seem to miss to see the need for the small 3-5 inch portable market. I have started to miss my small 3" Sony Watchman, for the last 2 weeks... Does anyone know when the rest of the world move to the digital transition??? Are we the last ones to use it???
i have a 13" and a 5" inch screen in my 5th wheel trailer. got an inverter and plugged my converter into that. what it does is changes the DC to AC. had to get another battery though for the trailer for extended playing time.
but alot of people cannot afford to have a digital HD tv. people are just now converting to DVDs still just sayin
But what good is a converter box if you are laying by the beach??? I mean the reason portable TVs were made was to get you away from the power chord. Put the TV in your pocket and off you go... Not feasible or easy to do that now that the Digital age has arrived...
you'd think direct tv would have something pretty cool. if sirius radio has a portable device for their satellites, why not? hey iphone, lets get a DTV app going !
