What about Anthony Fasano? http://blogs.sun-sentinel.com/sport...miami-dolphins-what-about-anthony-fasano.html
He had a quiet 7 touchdowns last year, which was good for 3rd in terms of TightEnds. Add that to the fact that he is only 25 years old, and I think he is do for a contract extension. Maybe mid season.
Not worried, our FO will resign him if our coaching staff and Parcells want him. And why wouldn't they? Good read, thanks Anthony.
X2 I still think getting Fasano for a song from the 'Pokes was a very quiet, albeit important piece to the puzzle. I think he will have the opportunity to prove his worth for the first 6 games or so and then see how things pan out. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised one iota if Parcells hasn't already told him something of this exact nature in a casual atmosphere/setting
Fasano was a beast last year and emerged as one of my favorite players! My favorite plays were probably: 1. Fading body grab to the outside of the end-zone against the JESTS! 2. Rediculous catch while dragging a couple guys to the endzone in the arctic KC game... Fasano = MUST KEEP!
He'll get an extension soon enough I think. He's earned it too. Good blocker and showed excellent hands last year when a lot of people questioned them.
Everyone here is claiming th at we'll sign fasano and I agree we should. What if he doesn't want to play in Miami?
Fasano has played well, but much like CP, Williams, Bess, Allen, Roth, Cobbs and not to mention Taylor if he plays well -- there will be some tough decisions about whom to keep next year ... i think Ferguson will be done ... but Martin, Wilson, J Allen, Green, Torbor, Anderson, Ayodele will all have to justify their spot and $$$$ during TC and on into the season ... I will guess we will take the CAP hit and ditch Wilford this year if it is possible -- so we can be done with it.
i really like fasano myself but to me seems one of those guys that if he has another great season this yr then the fo would consider using him to garner a draft pick and seeing how this fo is known for finding good t.e's it makes it a "non-priority" to sign right away.
I think he is being humble right now and working hard. He will get his due pretty soon. I don't think he is worried about it right now. I believe he is saying that when the right time for it to get done, it will get done. In my opinion he should be given a long term extension. He is a great asset to the team.
I'd really like to get his jersey but I want to wait till he re-ups. Hopefully sooner rather than later.
And i may or may not have info oooooh its a mystery do i have info? Hmmmmmmmm Posted via Mobile Device
You must have info Slappy - you saw him at the draft party! OT: Really great to see you posting and registered successfully.
Slappy is the legendary Slappy8800 from another site and I finally drug his bum over here. King of Dolphins' message boards. Jus' playing around John!
Im a bad egg and a bad influence back on topic this is no longer fun got info just cant tell yall Posted via Mobile Device
I would like them to lock him up. He's only making 500+change. THats a steal and tremendous value. Gotta love value! If we could lock him up for a 5 year deal that would be great, and he could easily outperform at a salary of a few million a season. I bet he likes miami and sparano. He got him into a full time starters gig in miami. If sparano didn't get him out of dallas he might still be witten's backup with no hope of moving up the NFL TE ladder to even have a shot at making more money.
nappy and slappy. back to business like the old days! you know whats funny is after your injury when we traded for Fasano, your the first thing i thought of. glad your back at posting some.
I really think its too early for them to jump the gun, especially when there are other key players that are due for an extension. Im sure that once the pre-season gets started, if they see him clearly stand out they will ink him.
My uncle just told me si ranked him 5 among te in theague which is pretty cool Posted via Mobile Device
