The Boss just added 25 new US dates and Tampa is the closest to me. Should I go see him again? My son wants to go too
I don't care for Springsteen, but getting the chance to spend the day with your son makes it all worth while. never pass on the chance to put a smile on a kids face.
If you really like him I would. I've driven from Memphis to Knoxville (a little over 5 hours) to meet with some friends and then drove to Cincinnati from there (at least a few hours) to see a concert. It was worth it because I really liked the band. But I chose "Don't like Bruce so I don't have a valid opinion". So personally I'm not sure I'd walk next door to see him.
I imagine that if you are going to make the commitment to drive 6.5 hours you could do a hell of a lot better than Broooooooce..... That being said, I wouldn't drive next door to see him so mine is probably not an objective view for you
If you are a fan, how can you go wrong? Add in sharing the experience with your son and it's a win-win.
Not a fan, but if you are and it's something fun you can do with your son the go for it and have a blast. Make a weekend out of it and go to Sea World, they have an incredible looking new Roller Coaster.
Go to the concert, take your son and make a weekend out of when you get that chance to do things just the 2 of you. take advantage of it.
One thing I don't miss about Florida is how long it takes to get around. If I drove 6.5 hours, I'd cross 2.5 states!
no doubt. drove 9.5 hours to the opener last season and never left the state. Bruce is also playing in Nashville.....I can get there in 7 hours
The Boss rules the concert scene value per dollar spent! ......6.5 hours to see The Boss w/son ....4 hours minimum to listen and appreciate The Boss and the E-Street Band w/son .....6.5 hours to drive back from experiencing what has been quoted as "the future of Rock and Roll" w/son = PRICELESS w/son “I saw rock 'n' roll future and its name is Bruce Springsteen.” Jon Landau
