I recently purchased an Iphone 3gs. (got it brand new for $120 because BestBuy messed up) and was looking for some good apps. I have scrolled the app store and looked at the top paid and free apps but there is no way to tell how good they are unless you download them. So which apps do some of you use?

    Mine are
Scramble- a channeling word game that you can play online, against a friend, or by yourself.

Flixster- movie times, trailers, releases etc

Barnes and Noble- allows you to locate stores and search

Constitution- well its the Constitution. Kind of a nerd I suppose but I love law

Iwant- locate most anything within 15 miles of your location, food, stores, hotels, venues etc

Sportscenter- Choose your fav teams and follow

Pro Football- choose fav team and follow

These are all free. So any other apps that are useful, fun, entertaining?

Wifitrack - Helps me locate free Wifi anywhere. I found 8 Wifi networks in my apartment, 4 of which have no password protection. It's not like I bank on my cell phone anyway so getting the free internet on the phone at home is pretty convenient when the woman is on the computer. Best App there is IMO.

Facebook - It's easy. Makes it so I don't have to constantly log in and off.

Bejeweled 2 - Yes, it's an old woman game but it's fun and addictive.

That's all I have for now. There are many others I want, I just have not got to them yet. I'm waiting for Garmin or someone else to bring out a really good GPS App. I use the "Maps" app that came with the phone quite a bit but it is limited. I'd like a real GPS.

Y!fan app is great if you use yahoo fantasy baseball. I have that on my blackberry storm and i know its available on iphone as well.

    Vision for youtube
    Bloomberg news
    pandora (internet radio)
    flixster
    music box (ringtones)
cellfire (pricing guide designed to help you save money on products)
trapster (tells you where cops set up speed traps in your area..if you dont know, well you should :) )

I have some others but those are the main ones. There are some comparable ones on the iphone if they arent identical.

warranty issues; a few of them that i know of. VZW wanted an external battery, apple wanted an internal battery. The difference being that many iphone users have lost their contacts because the battery needed to be removed at some point for one reason of another. Also apple warranties everything through them, vzw warranties everything in store. I know they weren't able to agree on those two things and then there were a few other things as well but I cant mention those. I know it was offered to vzw before anyone else because apple wanted their data coverage.
