Quick question for you guys. In the Tampa game, Pennington threw a 50yd pass on the run, and on a wet field with a possible wet ball.

Yet the previous 2 weeks, he under threw Cobbs for 35yds which would of been a TD if he, and Ginn in the Jacksonville game he under threw making Ginn come back and draw a pass interference.

What are your thoughts on why and how he was able to make that 50yd throw on the run, but couldn't make the other throws while his feet were planted?

Maybe we have to start rolling him out more? lol

I'd say he set is feet and got a full wind up on the Hartline throw.

I am pretty sure he threw that 50yarder to Hartline on the run.

You can get your feet set while on the run. Penny was running towards the LOS (and sideline a bit), and drove off his back foot with a full wind up.

    you are correct

Specifically, Sparano pointed to a rollout pass Pennington threw 54 yards as he was flushed out of the pocket Thursday.

``I mean, the throw he made in the game the other night, I bet you that none of you guys would have bet on that,'' Sparano said.

The title was a bit disappointing. Why is he going to be himself? Can't he try to be Dan Marino? Friggin Penny

Ok, but was he not able to set his feet on the previous passes that he under threw? I don't have the tape, but I am pretty sure he has his feet set most of the times he is throwing a deep ball.

I'd prefer Joe Montana, Tom Brady or even Trent Dilfer myself. Those QB's won Super Bowls...just sayin'

Hes was moving forward on a nice pace, almost like a centerfielder throwin home.

This is just sparano trying to divert attention from a weakness..he knows what we see..

Chad P is finally on the gameplan for atlanta, this is when you will see all the work come to fruition..the man lives for a gameplan.

    Canada EH!
Marino never winning a superbowl was never for lack of his own effort, it was for lack of a defense to help him. There is no "I" in team. Takes more then just him to win it.

Trent Dilfer ?? Sure, I'll take Trent Dilfer if the 2000 Ravens D comes with it...imagine what Marino could have done with a D like that ?? Or with some WRs after the Marks Bros. or a running back at any point in his career....

    Just sayin'....

I expect we will see a vastly improved Penny this season, which is hard to imagine. But I think all the signs point to this being the best season of Penny's career, which last season was but he will eclipse that again IMHO. Personally I can't wait to see what THIS QB can do, we all know what Marino, Montana, et al could do, but we have Penny, and personally I'm damn glad of it!
