The writing is on the wall as my playoff chances are slowly fading away.

My luck at fantasy football is usually bad. I will say going into the season I was not enthused by the players this year and for fantasy football in general. Yet I drafted what I thought was a good team but may find it at 3-7 after next week's games.

After a disastrous week 4 I'm looking at heading into a big bye week with most of my "studs" having the week off. I loosely call them studs because they are not really producing much. I've made things worse by not choosing the correct waivers, Sims, dropping Mason etc. My best player is Joe Flacco who I picked off of waivers after week 1.

There is still a long way to go and I could actually win one or both of my games this weekend but it ain't looking pretty is it?

    Flacco/McNabb/Palmer
    C Johnson/K Smith/R Grant/L White/T Choice
    Colston/Jennings/T Gonzalez/J Witten/Burleson/Knox/L Moore

I have no shot of getting Mason back but he is on my list along with Massaquoi and Nate Washington. Anyone else who might be a sleeper worth a shot next week? I think the Oakland backs might both be available with McFadden out now but /shudder at starting a Raider.

Matt Schaub and Greg Jennings did me no favors this week. On the other hand, the Saints defense, Robbie Gould, Vernon Davis and Ronnie Brown gave me the win.
    Schaub
    Houshmanzadah, Jennings, Bryant Johnson
    Brown, Choice
    Davis
    Gould
    Saints defense
I'm thinking to start McNabb next week. He's supposed to start against the Bucs

    I'd start McNabb over Schaub.

Sad, I can't even trade McNabb for V Jackson. I really hate this league sometimes because 80% of them won't make a trade unless it involves raping you.

I hear ya. My main league has been a headache all year.

My roster actually looks aright on paper:

    Shaub, McNabb

    Slaton, PT, Rice, Washington

    Fitz, Marshall, Manningham, Gage

    Davis, Finley

But I'm 1-3. Too many early injuries killed me ( I just traded A Gonzo for V Davis ).

Starting to get towards desperation time if I don't win next week.

    I wouldn't.

Shaub plays Ari, that looks like a good bet for a shootout. Philly could be up and just run over TB for the 2nd half.

I'm 16-4 combined after 4 weeks. 4-0, 4-0, 3-1, 3-1, 2-2. My only injury in my 5 leagues has been Frank Gore in my 2-2 league. On top of that Greg Jennings, Eddie Royal have decided to go on strike. Other than that, I'm kicking *** and taking names. Week 5 is my worst bye week, as I have Philip Rivers in almost every league, and a bunch of Bears, Saints, Packers, and Chargers. I'll be fine though. My bench is worthy.

3-1 in big $$$ league. But with Rivers on bye I need to count on Jake turn the ball over Delhomme this week. :pity: Luckily he's playing the Redskins.

1-3 in my big $$$ league with a decent roster, imo...

    Brady, Flacco
    Barber, Parker/Mendenhall, Gore/Coffee
Both Steve Smiths, Cotch, Marshall, T.O.
    Shockey, Winslow
    Eagles and Pats D.

Been starting the wrong guys each week, lol. My bench has been killin my starters. Poor decision making.

Your team is solid just a lot of injury bad luck. You have enough talent, assuming some things work out to make the playoffs.

Somehow I got Mason with the 5th waiver pick. Maybe my luck is changing. Of course he is listed as questionable so...

Stay with that group. Thats just bad luck because there isnt much wrong with that team. The only clear weakness to me is if you use 3 starting wr's you should have massaquoi starting this week vs the Jills and just dump Burelson. Even if Hasselbeck plays I expect the Jacksonville defense will play reasonably well.

Just an FYI, stay away from seattle wr's when Seneca Wallace plays. That dude is the suck from a fantasy football standpoint. Hes death to WR's.

Id stay with Schaub. For some dumb reason unbeknown to me I expect that Texans game to be a shootout where as I think the eagles may take care of the bucs early and often and rest mcnabb/westbrook during the 2nd half.

I have a league like that where people only want to deal when theyre raping you. So I did the only natural thing...the counter rape. One dude needed a WR or two and I had a huge surplus. I wanted a good bye week back and someone I plug in based on matchups. I felt my offer of Housh and Larry Johnson for Ryan Grant was fair..but the dude was upset with me for plucking Pierre Garcon off FA after his guy (Anthony Gonzalez) got hurt. Then according to him, I had the "balls" to claim Gonzalez off waivers and stash him. So I told him I would throw in Derrick Mason if he would throw in Mendenhall and the 49er defense. This was 2 weeks ago. I crushed him this past week 186-110 or some such blowout. Man..he was cussin all over the league board :pointlol:

No point to the story other then sometimes you can outsmart people, just had to gloat a bit

The thing about McNabb is that he's injury prone and people get scared off when he's hurt and that Mike Vick takes some work. I like McNabb a lot but I think it's gonna take a few weeks for people to recognize his value.

Yeah it really is amazing how some guys stick around even when they prove their inability to run a pro offense. But Burelson to me has more upside than what I can find on the WW at this time especially now that Hass is back. I'd be reaching for guys like Robiskie (sp), Maclin, Britt (any Tenn guy).

Britt may be taking over the #2 role as soon as tomorrow so I'd def keep an eye on him.

Maclin is much more of a reach. But, Philly does have some injuries at WR and with McNabb back, he'll def get an opportunity as well.

I'm slowly sinking because my decision making is horrible this year.

I started Mcgahee over Bradshaw(which is the right choice you would think)
Well,it's halftime and I lost 25 points so far...... :pity:

Lost the game I thought I would win and won the one I thought I would lose. Pretty happy to get to 4-6. Now if Colston and Jennings can get off their byes and pull a Roddy White I'll be ready to roll.

3-0 this week, and 12-3 overall (4-1, 4-1, 4-1). Honestly, I'm surprised I went 3-0 this week. No Greg Jennings, no Frank Gore, Chris Johnson sucked. My RB's are pretty bad in all 3 leagues and I've had to do alot of switching around with them. Luckily for me, my WR groups in all 3 leagues are elite. Every single WR I have in all of my leagues are the #1 target on their team with Boldin being the exception. Thank god though because my RB situation is hurting.

I guess whining worked. 6-6 and just beat the 1st and 2nd place teams to get myself into 4th, only 2 games back. Now if only Lendale was really hurt and my guys could score some touchdowns.

Another 3-0 week for me. 5-1 in all 3 leagues. If Frank Gore starts next week I'll be stoked...

    6-0 in gish's league...who's your daddy punks?
4-2 in one pay league (most points just some bad luck)
3-3 in 18 team league, team starting to come around after 0-3 start. Acquisition of Flacco could be huge in QB heavy league.
2-4 in pay league...3 of the 4 losses ive had the team I played had their highest scoring week vs me. Just bad luck. Point total again better then record.
