I have a feeling the rematch is going to be one of the most physical games EVER played in the NFL....I have been following our rivalry for 25+ years and never have these 2 hated each other as much as they do now...as a fan you HAVE to love it.
Interesting matchup for both the Jets and Pats. Both favored by 10 after crushing losses. Both at home. Both expected to win big. I would be more worried about the Jets covering. J-Co looks like he may be out.
I go into a week long session of manic depression after we lose to the jets, no complaints with the timing from me.
I'm not so sure this board has the sort of smack talk one might think it would GM. Just not the culture here, but there will be a few... Rematch in a couple of weeks that should be fun. I am curious though, Sanchez's performance has slipped a bit over the last three games, do you think it is a serious trend?
I thought he did OK vs Miami. remember He lost his security blanket Cotchery to injury. But I think he gained one in Edwards. When A QB can throw a ball high and the WR can bring it down it is huge. I know Edwards has been flagged for drops, but he can also catch some circus catches. Sanchez was fine. This loss was on rex and the D.
Should be interesting next matchup...I wonder what ol Rexy is going to try and scheme up....I think he has to find a way to scheme it your standard alignment isnt going to cut it.
I don't sign up at rival teams boards. If I did I sure as hell wouldn't come back and eat crow, ever. I think people that do that are crazy It's either Phins boards or "General" football boards for me. Thanks for coming back, though.
the sad thing is, the jets dont even have to try to get to 5-2. I cant believe they get the bills and raiders right after this loss.
that raider game is going to be ****ed up...that D is going to set a record for sacks/turnovers...Jets are my unquestioned #1 hated team but that is going to be a laughable matchup...poor raiders.
Yeah, if you dish it out you gotta be able to take it. Classy post BTW. Pace, Scott and Peter Griffin could learn a few things from you.
it'll be a good game in a few weeks. but the monday nighter, this was the one everyone will remember for years to come. this was the bigger game, on the big stage, for the whole world to see.
Well, I think the Bills lost two more linebackers didn't they? That would be bad for them, they may have just abandoned ship by that point.
The next two games for the Jets are against a couple of the best teams they could have picked to help them hype back up that Rex Ryan defense that we just ran right over...
very true bills are fielding a mash unit but that team wont roll over like the raiders...the score might be simular but the raiders...that team has already given up and Russel to me has already passed Mandarich as the biggest bust in NFL history.
hopefully they will get full of themselves again, you know so we can brust their bubble twice in one year. After rewatching the game tonight I must say that the Jets were lucky to be in this game. They got 10 points after fake punts (one of which was not called). 3 off some horrible clock management by us and another 7 thanks to the refs on the long phantom PI call to the 4 yard line. that was 20 of their points!
For a better tasting and juicier crow, always saute your feathered friend at least 7 to 8 minutes in real butter before plucking. Then slowly roast over a nice warm open fire with your friends and family. Make sure to bring extra for your "over sized Rex Ryan look alike" friends. Should serve 3-4 per serving.
too many classics in the matchup for that one to take over..."Clock play"..."Monday night Miracle"...this one will be up there because of the youth at QB and what I think is going to be a rekindling of the rivalry but there is a LOT of history.
haha those goobery massive Dolphin fins the fans had on were a bit embarassing but that guy wins that contest hands down LOL...him and the "j-e-s-t" fans make for some easy targets.
Pozluzney's forearm is healed, he will play against the Jets. Sanchez's completition percentage has declined every week, the Texans game was his statistical highlight and he sort of has declined since then. Last night he was down to 50% completitions. 63% down to 56% down to 51% down to 50%. Granted the Bills and Raiders will help him to raise that level, but it is odd.
Oh...man...I thought that was lost in the ether, I'm not certain which one I like more, that or the "JEST" sign... Dude is saying "J-E-T-S jets jets jets" Wow...that is almost perfect.
Oh, I'm not bagging on his fandom, far from it, if he wants to dress like that and cheer for the "J-E-T-S jets jets jets" while waving pom poms in a sleeveless shirt and a sombrero on national TV...more power to him.
Great post GreenMachine, you got my respect brother! BTW Edwards is always great against us. He made a comment about being mislead by Satan because he was told that we would draft him yet Satan took Ronnie Brown. It was something to the effect that he would make us regret that every time he played us. While he may revert to Mr. brick hands most times when you play us you need not fear Braylon not showing up, he'll be there! When next we meet may the best man win and may we both walk out healthy.
