Wow,not the news I really wanted to hear. I wonder what direction we will go to help Ricky, pick up a free agent runningback or see what we got in Hilliard.

Well not a surprise really. Ronnie still has yet to play a full season. I mean I love the guy for his attitude and his role in the WildCat but if he wants a huge contract I say let him walk. It gets frustrating seeing this every season and the guy has only one 1000 yard season (although not entirely his fault).

Don't get me wrong I want the guy back next year and love him as a player but I think we have to come to reality...the guy is injury prone and because of that may never be a truly elite RB. We keep waiting for that monster season that has never come. Miami really needs to find another RB in the draft or FA even if Ronnie is around. He still has yet to hit his physical prime and would be a value to keep but I wouldn't overpay. He makes the team better but he doesn't have that AP impact unfortunately so let's hope Ricky can lead us through the season.

As for this season this does hurt our playoff chances but they aren't dead.

I wonder if they would consider Edge if Hilliard doesn't work out? Just thinking out loud. I think Ricky can do it, but he definately needs some help.

Last year he played a full season. Not an elite running back? He has revolutionized the game all by himself. Does the wildcat ring a bell? He deserves a big contract he is about 99 percent of our offense. He does not have the AP impact? Without Ronnie Brown the wildcat would be nothing and you just said it yourself we are probably not going to get into the playoffs because we don't have him. So he definitively has some play making ability if that is the case.

Plus give me 5 good reasons he does not deserve a big contract. Ronnie Brown is our offense. He is out running back, our wild cat QB, and a wide receiver for us and he is awesome at all of them.

Miami does not need to find a running back in free agency, draft one , or trade for one, they need to resign the one that they have. It is hard to get an elite running back like Ronnie Brown and now that we have him we want to give him away I don't understand where all this hate is coming from. The man is our offense and we want to get rid of him.

I'd be more interested to see what Hilliard or Sheets can do. Edge is done and should retire.

Ronnie Brown should be traded next year...

Listen Hes breaking down. 2 Major injuries on his lower body.. Hes not going to be able to come back and be better. Hes starting to age, wan'ts a big contract.. We have alot of holes..

We need to trade him for something decent draft or pickup some FA and build up..

Had to say it let the flames begin..

Not good...definitely hurts...but its really not the end of the season.

Time for Lex to step up and show that his preseason performance wasn't an aberration.

The line really needs to step it up too. Hope Smiley is feeling better.

Five good reasons? How about I give you just one.....

    Ronnie Brown is injury prone!

Who needs a guy who is always hurt. Ronnie is over rated anyways. He should have never made it to the Pro Bowl last year and the guy STILL can not outrun anyone.

As he once did with Ronnie, Ricky will set a pace for Lex to follow, and a level of play that if Lex can attain, the rest of the League will follow Lex.

Well my favorite player once again done. This really sucks because our playoff chances are near dead. Well this is both a blessing in disguise but also awful.

    Blessing
-Pat White, lets see what you got. We spent a 2nd rounder on you, its time you make big plays. I am a huge fan of White and this will be a huge opportunity for him to make plays.

-Chad Henne, He will now get more chances to make plays down the field. The wildcat will almost be non existent without Ronnie, so now Henne does not have to come out as much.

    Awful

-Ronnie's future, there is almost none. As fans, we all like the guy. He is our best player by far. The FO did not give him an extension because of this reason. His future as a Dolphin seems like it has come to an end.

-Draft, we may now need a RB. This is really bad because we have a significant amount of holes to be filled through the draft. We need LB,S,Wr, and now maybe a RB. This is the worst thing that could have happened to the Dolphins. Ronnie is a great talent, was on his way to another great season, and now we have to make plans to get another runningback.

this is why i believe we resign ronnie. We have so many other problems to work with, if we can get him back for a good value then keep him, and worry about other problems we have.

I think everyone is getting a little excited about the injury that isn't a break or tear.

Running backs will get hurt...I don't think you can put this injury in the "Injury prone" area, he twisted his ankle/foot.
