Just looking at the leading rushers list and a few names stood out. As I said below in my "Here it goes" thread...these guys are in football shape and ready to play free agents. Cory Ross 462 yards, 4td's Longest 53 yards DeDe Dorsey 369 yards, 5 td's Longest 71 yards Marcell Shipp 291 yards, 3 td's Michael Pittman 232 yards, 3 td's There are some good numbers there with a minor league and short season. Any of these guys would be a good #3, especially with Ricky banged up right now.
Why do we need a RB? Ricky has been at like 4.5 YPC since Ronnie went down with injury. And Hilliard has looked good in a reserve role.
Did you see Ricky at the end of the game today? He is banged up and not as young as he used to be. Not sure if Lex is ready to be able to carry the load if need be, but we need someone on the roster who is ready to step in as a #2 if called upon and excel in spot play as a #3. Not sure if Sheets is the guy or not, but I think these other guys would be worth bringing in for a look to see.
LOL you linked your OP ... I don't think we'll add anyone if Ricky is dinged ... you're right he's older but he has less wear on his wheels than a number of running backs. I think he will be back next week.
I think we'll draft one One young fresh piece of meat that can kick the crap out of a linebacker and who doesn't have any mileage on him.
Only one I could see them looking at, if they actually wanted to do that, was Pittman but he's had his own issues.
