Henne's career day lifts Miami Dolphins past Patriots http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/football/miami-dolphins/story/1368817.html No doubt about it, Miami Dolphins' Chad Henne stood out Sunday http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/football/story/1369157.html
GREAT read. thanks for the link. Every week Henne improves. does he make inexcusable mistakes that just about every other Qb makes once in a while? Yes. but its his ability to come right back on the next play and make up for it that's impressive. And kudos to the coaching staff for abandoning the Wildcat this week and airing it out!! Henne is a better QB today because of it.. And Miami is a better team because of it. Proves we can win it running, and passing. We are slowly becoming a complete team. IMHO
I like what I've seen from him. He has physical talent, attitude and he's shown he can learn from his mistakes.
Wow, best quote I've seen in an article in a long time: ``If you want to, we could throw all day,'' said Henne, asked if his arm was tired. ``I love it. Put it in my hands. Put pressure situations upon me, and I really thrive in those.''
355 yds & a last minute drive to win the game indication of an elite QB in development kudos to the IceMan
I think abandoning the wildcat without Ronnie Brown is the best thing we could have done at this point. The Wildcat has proven to be a flop since Ronnie went down.
No, I think he means the whole "rookie" thing. He's technically not a rookie, just a first year starter Pretty sure the "Rookie" designation goes away your first year regardless of if you started or not.
GREAT game by Henne... Anyone else want to choke Henning on the inauspicious appearances of Pat White? The guy is a stiff, gettim' outta here! LOL! (Pat White that is)
That doesn't work either. NFL.com has Henne at 335 yrds, Scott Mitchell had a 344 yrd 3 TD game his "first year starting" (His third year in the league).
Well then I have no idea what the heck the 5th Quarter boys were talking about.... http://www.miamidolphins.com/aquavision/video/dolphins-game-day-live-5th-quarter
Yep. I was just shaking my head. Henne was hot, keep him in there. The rest of the season, I would rather just see Henne handling the throwing and Ricky handling the running. Pat White can hold a damn clipboard.
I was saying to myself.... here we go with another Pat White play that goes nowhere. And what do you know! It went for exactly 0 yds. Great shot at Henne on the sidelines while White was in . looked to me like he was frustrated that he wasnt in there. could be just me tho
Agree. No sense running it without the player that can make it effective. And I'm glad everyone got to see that we can win a game without it. Ricky needed a break too!
i said this last night there is no reason at all to put pat white on the field all that does is take away downs for Henne they put white on the field to justify wasting a 2nd round pick
I dunno. Maybe at some point he can be comfortable enough with the game to be an option QB in specialized situations, but if Henne does turn out to be a quality starting QB, I really question the need to HAVE an option QB. We put the wildcat in because our base offense wasn't working. If it's working, why screw around with the Wildcat or the option?
I wonder would would Henne would have passed for maybe 375 or 400 yards if Pat White wasn't inserted in there...
Henning had 2 wildcat play's, he's getting at.. Imo, we should not be bashing Pat so much, for the fact that i dont think mike vick would of made a difference in those plays... Critisize the coach for implementing them at ill advised times.
Yeah Henne grew up a bit last Sunday and so did our defense. I truly believe the Saints game revealed how to beat the Patriots and that's to double Welker and use a 6 defensive back scheme. I thought Philip Unwin's post on the front of the board was an excellent example of how I feel and think. We should have easily beaten Buffalo and somehow lost. It goes to show how important takeovers and give-aways are. Henne had some nice lazer passes to Bess, he did miss one wide open pass that would have gotten us an easy score. But I am hoping he will start to get a little bit more comfortable the more he plays. d-1
I agree with you there. The more comfortable he becomes, the more dangerous he is going to be for defenses.
