I don't think it's a lock that they go undefeated. They've been played tough by a few teams this year, ours included. They almost lost to the redskins for crying out loud. 33-30 is nothing to write home about.
They are the only team that has as many weapons as New Orleans and they haven't needed as much luck to get to their record to be honest. The Saints are dodging a near upset every week it seems like. The Vikings have as many playmakers as the Saints and they have the best RB in the business. I know it might seem like the Saints are invincible but they've been getting a bit lucky. I wouldn't be shocked to see Arizona beat them either. The Vikings and the Cards could run with the Saints in a shootout.
They used to have cool fans but I found them to be a bunch of arrogant douchebags the week they played us. You would think they would wait till they actually got into a Super Bowl before they got arrogant
Yea, but they won. We gave up 30 to the Bills and 23 to the Bucs. Doesn't mean we suck. Just means every game shouldn't be played on paper. The Redskins offense might not be great, but that was Jason Campbell's best game as a pro (before the 2 late picks at least). Also, in 1972, not every game was a blow out for our fins.
They've had like 6 seasons total with this many wins. I think the fans who've been there through it all deserve the ability to gloat a bit. Not everyone is arrogant either, probably a small portion. I bet we have a good number of fans that others would call arrogant, even in "down" seasons.
The Saints aren't invincible at all. No team is. But to say we've been luckier than the Vikings....what about the long TD pass by Favre to beat the 49ers with 2 seconds to go? Or the missed would be game winning fg by the Ravens? the Vikings are as close to being 8-4 as we are to being 11-1. We've had two games that weren't double digit wins. and I'd say we've had one lucky game this year. But you can't get to this point in the NFL without a little luck.
Actually this is only the 3rd time we've won 12 games. The other two times (87 and 92) we were wildcards. That is what it was like being in the same division as Joe Montana. In 88 we won 10 and didn't make the playoffs. We had 3 division championships prior to this year (91 -11 wins, 00 and 06 - 10 wins each). We've never won 13 games in a season (playoffs included). Saints fans certainly know what tough times are like. I know all to well what it's like to be looking at the potenial draft order in December rather than the playoff picture. It would be nice to string a few good seasons together and hopefully win a championship in the process.
Good ole times with Dalton Hilliard on O (89 at least), and Pat Swilling, Rickey Jackson, and Sam Mills on D.
The chant of "Who dat? Who dat say dey gonna beat dem Saints" originated in minstrel shows and vaudeville acts of the late 1800s and early 1900s, and was then taken up by jazz and big band performers in the 1920s and 30s. The first reference to "Who Dat?" can be found in the 19th Century. A featured song in E.E. Rice's "Summer Nights" is the song "Who Dat Say Chicken In dis Crowd." -wiki
Thanks. Now if only there were a reasonable explanation as to why anyone still says it in the year 2009.
Who's to blame for the excessive Jimmy Buffett music at dolphins games in the year 2009? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
