I've missed a few plays here and there - but prior to tonight, I'd never seen him drop one.

Oh yeah. He's one tough SOB - it's scary to think he and Richardson are only sophomore and freshman respectively.

When you talk about Thomas you're talking about a FS. He's a good enough tackler for a FS, you give up some of that tackling for what you get in pass defense.

We havent seen that so much tonight because of the Alabama gameplan.

true, if Texas could hold Bama to a FG here they have a chance. Would be funny if Texas did and the marched down the field for a gaming winning TD with time running out. karma is a ***** Saban, HAHAHA!

You have to wrap up there, stop with the highlight reel crap, wrap up...watching him tonight thats all I've seen with Thomas; hits low, leading with the helment and shoulder....NFL'ers eat that bump tackling up for breakfast....he has to wrap up...

Yep, they made a great effort to come back as far as they did with a freshman QB ... just goes to show you ... all the predictions in the world dont means squat in real life ... what "should" happen doesn't mean it will

Alabama let their foot off the gas big time IMO. Which allowed the Longhorns to come back, because Alabama was content thinking they couldnt.

Alabama WAS running away with it at 24-6

Cant take anything away from Texas no matter what Bama did ... Bama still had to stop them & didnt and allowed them back into the game ...

Doesnt matter ... you cant take what Texas did with what they are working with away from them ... they didnt give up ... Texas had Bama on the ropes until that sack & fumble ... so Bama may deserve to win the game, but they didnt run away with this game despite what anyone says

Well, I didn't see any physical play from him tonight, but it isn't surprising. The only team in the Big 12 that plays physical defense is Nebraska. Texas just got overwhelmed by Alabama's physical play in this game.

    Exactly.

I think it's a stretch to say Texas had Alabama "on the ropes" at any point in this game. Alabama dominated it the entire time. They took their foot off the gas as soon as they realized the Longhorns' offense couldn't do anything without McCoy. They were content to play it safe on offense and not risk any turnovers, knowing that they could just punt the ball and contain. The kid surprised them and made a couple plays, at which point Alabama had to turn it on again. The Longhorns' defense came up with a big stop at the end of the game to get the ball back with a chance to win. But even if they had, I think the discussion would be about how Alabama's conservative play lost them the game . . . not about how Texas won it.
