    Figure that.
I predicted it would take the trolls 2 weeks, but it only took one day.
Did they run out of nooses in New York?

yeah, but now you have to take your medicine. No FAs, No draft. And at the end of the day, a 9-7 mediocre team with little hopes of improving.

where we are a team that was good enough to sweep the jets, draft 12th in a talent heavy class, are actually coaching the south in the seniorbowl, and have unlimited FA activity...oh, and added mike nolan.

Of course we would. But still at the end of the day all that really transpired if you guy's got swept by your most hated rivals. Then proceeded to back into the playoffs. Don't deny it. The truth shall set you free. If you ever doubted that you got let in all you have to do is reply last nights game.

With that said you really didn't earn anything. No tittle, no ring, not even a banner to decorate your new stadium (congratulations on that BTW). To make matters worse with no CBA in place you guy's did this at the worst opportune time.

No, because the Jets look to have a promising future.

Sanchez looks to be the real deal, and he will be a positive for the team next year instead of a liability. Look at some of his throws yesterday, stepping up into the pocket on 3rd and 5 and getting drilled, hitting Keller for the TD, the perfect throw to Edwards down the sideline. He has developed very nicely, and has gotten great experience which was his only knock coming out of college.

Not to mention, he has seemed to turn the corner with the turnovers.

Then, the running game will be still very good next year with Shonn Greene and Leon Washington. Jones is terrible and he's gotta be gone. He just doesn't have it anymore. The O-Line will remain intact.

The defense is obviously a positive, but the secondary needs work. I'd imagine they would target either a CB or S in the first round, if not that than a pass rusher.

I think the Jets are in good shape. They have their Head Coach, QB, and RB.

But keep thinking they are a mediocre football team. :pity:

Fact is, next year they will be able to eliminate a lot of this year's bad losses. Like the games vs. Buffalo, Jacksonville, Atlanta.

I'd say at least 10-11 wins next year for the Jets.

I think that's a pretty fair assessment. I would broaden the wins though 9-11 But that's just me.

I hate myself for this - but the Jets are obviously a lot closer than us right now. Sure they are a bit handcuffed in FA and the draft but lets not kid ourselves and act like that makes us better. We went 7-9 and lost a lot of very important games down the stretch.

They backed into the playoffs - but they still won those games - and then two more in the playoffs against very good teams.

I hope our FO is looking at them as a threat and planning accordingly instead of looking past them.

Keep reading the papers up there
Snatcho is not nearly as good as you make him out to be. 17 of 30 and 2 tds but another int. The one Td was a sucker punch and amassed almost 1/3rd of his passing yards for the game. He had 12 TDs and 20 int's for the season and a whopping 60 qb rating...all this behind a gazillion dollar O-line
Two of your O-lineman are old and are gonna start showing it.
Washington is gonna have a VERY tough time coming back from that injury ESPECIALLY with his style of running.
You don't have any FA and barely have a draft.
Two teams completely rolled over and let you guys back into the situation you were in

I'm not so sure they are closer than us bro. We had some serious injury's this year that would have set any team back on their heals. Starting QB Probowl running back Starting Nose tackle, Corner and lets not forget losing our starting TE even before the season started. Add in the NFLs toughest schedule and the fact that even with those injury's we were able to beat them head to head. We match up very well with the Jets. Both teams love to slug it out and are built very similar.

Next year is going to be very interesting. Not only are both teams rising but NE is slowly working their way to complete irrelevancy.

No. Not giving you this one. When you are better you will beat us. When you are really better you will sweep us. Untill then enjoy the view from the back seat.

    Snatcho? How old are you?

Okay, let's discard his 80 yard touchdown pass. That makes sense.

Yes he had a 60 QB rating, and sucked for the majority of the season, but if you've watched any Jets football over the past month, you have seen a QB that's matured and starting to hit his stride in this league.

Faneca is still one of the strongest run blockers in the game, and he isn't going anywhere. Woody is still good at RT. Not worried about the O-Line at all. It's still the best in the league. They've started together now for 35 straight games including the playoffs.

In regards to FA, I'm sure they'll sign some minor guys, but obviously nothing too big. Draft, I'm sure they'll address the Secondary and Pass Rushing departments with the few picks they have.

That is as relavent as the BCS.
There are only two sets of numbers that matter-
The first of course is 2-0.
The other is 4-e vs 2-4 which of course is the division.
The fact that you guys played backups the last two weeks of the season doesn't help your cause.
Keep thinking it does though...

Yep. And amazingly Maddux never threw a no-hitter in his career. He would get a lead, then start tinkering, like the story you mentioned. He was always thinking ahead. He actually did a similar thing with Reggie Sanders and the 1995 Cincinnati Reds.

Maddux was 19-2 in 95, and one of his two losses were to the Reds. When they played Cincy in the playoffs, Maddux pitched them completely different and carved them up. Rumor has it Maddux did this on purpose as he knew they would be a likely playoff foe.

How so? How is your team going to improve with no FA possiblities, and 3, 4 at the most draft picks, at the 29th spot. This, when you'll probably lose your #1 wr, #2 cb, and possibly even Jenks.

So again, is this moronic? Jests reality is a *****.

So teams often lose twice in a season to teams they are better than? Not only were you swept this year you came one 4rth down hail marry from getting swept two years in a row. And lets be real here. We not only had the tougher schedule but the last two teams on your schedule laid down for you. You're not better.

A lot of that can be attributed to Sanchez holding onto the ball for too long. They are the best run blocking OLine in the league and still an above average pass blocking OLine.

    Which is my point.
Anybody that has watched Snatcho has seen him completely fold, make really bad passes, he hardly ever steps into his throw and was fortunate to be surrounded with what he was.
When he's still making these same mistakes in 2 ,and 3 seasons, you will see....

Depends on what site you visit to quantify that claim. Football Outsiders had Miami ranked as the best Run Blocking team in the NFL. Mind you, Ronnie Brown was also out for 7 games.

Shonn Greene got injured and like I said earlier, Jones has been terrible and has completely run out of gas. So there was no threat of the run once Greene got injured, and the game was pretty much over then.

The Colts are the best team in the league. They are undefeated this year when they try to win.

Doesn't hurt that the majority of his passes are of the 5 yard variety either. If it's not PA, he's throwing a quick slant or a short out route.
