It's good to hear stuff like this, that there are other teams out there just as dysfunctional as the Phins. I feel more hopeful now.
Malik Willis unfortunately is another undersized smurf like Tua. 6' 1" is undersized for the NFL. Is he going to be any more durable or will the QB sneak again be avoided? All multiple SB winners are typically bigger than that.
CJ Stroud is nothing special but the Pats are for real. They have a QB and a coach. Unfortunately that formula has not been tried by the Phins.
After 4 seasons McDaniels still doesn't know what a halftime adjustment is and refuses to transition from OC to HC. Fire him and bring in Harbaugh. Let him and Aikman decide on the next GM.
He would certainly be an upgrade over Tua but, there are strong indications that he's nearing the end of his NFL career. We should concentrate on organizing a better scouting structure.
No sense in getting hurt now.
What do YOU want to do? Keep rolling with Tua?
The turning point was settling for a FG just before halftime. McD is a wimp.
Chit-canning Grier was a good start, now get rid of the HC that NOBODY in the NFL was interested in except Grier
Get rid of the Tiffany lampshade posing as a QB and get rid of Weaver.
Start from scratch.
Typical Dolphins 3rd quarter football.
Gotta score some points now before McD puts the team to sleep at half-time.
Ewers looks promising. He's got poise, accuracy, he moves well in the pocket. I think he deserves a serious shot at starting next season.
For those who wanted a loss today for better draft position, Merry Christmas. Who's making the draft picks?
Any GM prospect worth a damn is not going to be saddled with a coach that he is not comfortable with. I don't know what Marino has been contributing all these years. Maybe he was reluctant to speak up for fear of losing his meal ticket and was just around to shake hands but, Aikman seems like a serious approach that should result in a clean sweep. The franchise needs a HC and more than just two Offensive Co-ordinators.
True, Aikman did not try to hide his bewilderment at some of McDaniel's questionable football abilities from his glaring inability to make any effective halftime adjustments to some of his questionable play-calling. I was not aware of it but, Aikman mentioned that Miami was the least productive third quarter team in the league. Ouch. Makes you wonder what Ross and Marino talk about. I personally don't expect McD to return next season.
Tua who?
Everybody should always be "for sale". I was all for trading Xavien Howard after his one monster year. I thought that was a no brainer but, the genius in the front office thought it made more sense to throw money at him. By comparison, Achane is the kind of player you want to keep but, if somebody offered a 1st, it would be foolish not to, especially for a team that needs so much. You're not building an offense around Achane, he's part of an offense. You can't lean too heavily on him, he'll get hurt.
You need a pop-up blocker.
Defense is faltering. Miami is going to have to win in a shoot-out.
Let's see if Ewers can run the Hurry-up offense.
What's not to like, the kid is totally at ease out there.
