I dont think he will have a choice to stick around as a backup; hes going to get the Tebow/Kaepernick treatment.. teams will stay away.

Atlanta just stepped up to the mic. LOL

The only thing that kept them relatively in the game were late throws by Darnold that had Collinsworth gushing over Gonzalez for making diving plays on the ball.

If Darnold had put the throws out in front, a few of them would have been TDs. Gonzalez didn't actually do any special, they were just underthrown or late, and that allowed him to get a hand on them.

I can't understand that at all- wow! It sounds like there was some internal tension though over them not winning it all yet.

Buffalo has had what we wanted all along, a perennial playoff contender. They were in the playoffs all but one year of McDermott's tenure. I would be on the phone quickly and it sounds like the media is expecting it as well.

Its just like the Dungy situation in Tampa. Dungy for so many years could get the team close but couldn't get them over the hump.

He's the only one with consistently high level play who has repeatedly proven he can overcome adversity not just in the regular season but also in the playoffs. That's what you want in a franchise QB.

You also want them on the field every week. I like Joe's game but his body is made of glass.

GM runs the makeup of the team not the coach. Well that's the way it should be.

Don't disagree to a point, but its also a partnership, at least it should be. The GM should be getting the people that fit the HC's vision, not picking whoever he wants and telling the HC to just shut up and coach. Harbaugh is one of the best coaches of the last 20 years. If you need to stroke his ego to get him here, you do it. Let him pick that guy and let that guy do what he wants to the front office.

Bring in Harbaugh and let him pick the GM that he wants.

Tua Benched!!!12/17/2025

Its being reported in multiple places that Ewers is getting the start this week against the Bengals. LETS GO Q!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One positive note, the D was putting on some big hits. They were playing nasty in the first half. It was beautiful until it wasn't.

I just don't believe if he is here McDaniel will pull the plug on him.
He is the one that went to bat for him to get paid.

I think (hope) McD is smart enough to know he doesn't want that albatross around his neck.

Put Tua's ass on the bench and let Ewers play out the season. Let's see what he's got.

Achane is the next Barry Sanders folks, you can see him coming alive week after week and he's better now than he was a year ago. The blocking has improved some in the trenches, but it's just as much Achane waiting for holes and exploding. He's a rare talent and hopefully we retain him long-term.

The need to lock him to an extension in as soon as possible. DO NOT LET THAT GUY LEAVE THE BUILDING.

HELL FUCKING YEAH!!!!!!!!!

Yea, what pump said. Now it’s just speculation, but if Grier has all of the dirty laundry and knows where the proverbial bodies are buried, Grier could decide to sing like a stool pigeon and depending on the severity of it, the league COULD force a sale of the Dolphins and post Ross like they did Dan Snyder

Again, all speculation.

That would be the best most-dolphins shit ever.

I could live with it if it would be the other way around. If Grier is still in charge after this season, I won’t get Game Pass for next season and probably only going to renew it when he’s gone.

I almost bought it this season. I get a discount so its only $119 for the season and I'd would pay that if they were decent. Luckily the first few games were on local TV and Prime, and it was obvious this team is a dumpster fire. Until this team makes changes to become something more than mediocre on a regular basis, until this team gets rid of Grier, until they show that they are going to stop being stupid with damaged FA signings and bad draft picks, they get no more of my money (shirts, hats, gamepass, going to games, etc). Unfortunately, until Ross feels it in his pocketbook nothing will change, and I'm not convinced that even that would change his mind about Grier. I suspect that he's not able to detect the sarcasm when the other Owner's are telling him what a great job Grier is doing and to keep him as long as possible. His feeble mind is telling him that they are giving him honest advice.

This team sucks and our QB has morphed in to Chad Henne 2.0.

Henne could still chuck the ball 70 yards downfield

IMO if this team doesn't win the super bowl then everybody has to go. The day they are officially eliminated from playoff contention, send everybody packing. Win the division and lose in the playoffs, GONE. Win the Conference and lose in the Super Bowl, GONE. This shit has gone on far too long with too many missed opportunities and stupid "we're smarter than y'all" moments. If I was Ross people would've been fired the day the idiot said "you guys care about the OL more than we do", or whatever the hell it was that he said.

It may be old school thinking, but games are won and lost in the trenches.

You and I were banging that drum for years. You caught a lot more flak for it than I did.

"cbrad wrote:

Thus far, the only elite QB from that 2020 draft is Burrow.

And the only one with a ring is Hurts.

I wasnt sold on Tua or Herbert. I wanted OL with the first pick and Hurts in a later round.
The following year they took Waddle instead of Sewell.
I know its old school thinking, but you've gotta build the line if you want any chance to succeed. Build the OL correctly and almost any QB can have success. Here we are 5 years later, Hurts has a ring and the Phins OL still sucks ass...

It was wild. The stats said Rosen was like the most unsalvageable bust ever and we spent a second rounder to bring him in to cut him.

Dude was horrible. The stats sucked. The eye test said he was a joke. There was zero reward on that. I was pissed and said at the time that was dumb. They could've taken that pick and thrown it in the garbage and had a better result than wasting it on that bum.
