In this day and age of free agency, the ONLY thing that prevents a player from staying on a team is personal greed. I have no issue with the concept of a team being fair to one of its star players, but if his demand for such a salary jeopardizes the ability to maintain the cohesion of the team that made him a star...then that's greed.

Landry, Stills and Parker are going to have a GREAT season this year...because all 3 are GREAT receivers and defenses are going to struggle to effectively cover all 3 of them but if Landry demands such a salary that Miami just CAN'T provide due to the salary cap, he'll be traded and we'll sadly see him in a Jets uniform or worse...a Patriots uniform next season.

    I pray this doesn't happen.

The TEAM, the LEAGUE, and the FANS, will turn cut him, black ball him, and down right hate him for getting hurt, voicing his opinion or making one stupid mistake. Yet he is supposed to put them first? A GREAT player who stays HEALTHY will get 10 years to make a living for him and his family for the rest of their lives. Calling it greed for wanting max dollar while he puts his body on the line is laughable.

Get your money Jarvis. Whether Dolphins want to pay you or not.

Player now Adays seem to equate respect with being the highest payed player at his position. Landry should be paid but not too 5 money he hasn't earned it IMHO.
