Thinking about it, I believe we may have found someone who would take Smiley for a 4th or 5th. Why else would we take an OLineman in the third round. Although I hate the pick, we can see what comes of this draft. We have to remember that a guy like Zach Thomas came in the fifth round while Bart Scott AND James Harrison were Undrafted. I think we're looking more at value than big names. That said, who the HELL told them that they can just strike lighting in the sixth round?
It would be a heckuva move to trade our 5th RD pick for Cliff Avril, then deal Justin Smiley to regain that 5th RD pick back.
That's a pretty ideal situation, but I'm starting to think we're not going to have anyone to trade Smiley too. I just think with his injury history, nobody is going to want him.
