The Dolphins lost two starters during Sunday’s loss to the Colts, and coach Mike McDaniel said Monday that right guard James Daniels and cornerback Storm Duck will miss multiple games.

Daniels played only three snaps before a pectoral injury ended his day.

The injury is not season-ending, McDaniel said, but Daniels already is ruled out for Week 2.

“It looks to be a couple weeks and we’ll evaluate it,” McDaniel said Monday, via Adam Stites of USA Today.

Kion Smith replaced Daniels, and Smith or Daniel Brunskill will be in line to start in place of Daniels.

Duck was carted off with an ankle injury Sunday, and he, too, will miss multiple weeks.

Veteran cornerback Rasul Douglas replaced Duck and is expected to take over as a starter opposite Jack Jones.

Right tackle Austin Jackson (toe) and defensive tackle Benito Jones (oblique) require further evaluation, McDaniel said.

Grier special. Injury prone players are a bargain!

It's just so comical at this point. ****ty injury prone oline for decades, and that ain't changing.

Well no **** Daniels got injured. As long as my guy Achane keeps chugging I'll watch. If he goes down, I'm done.

Man I hate to say it, but if we end up rebuilding I'd see if anyone would be interested in getting him for like a first and third. Not sure a RB would get anything like that, but tell me he wouldn't look good on the Commanders, Chiefs or Cowboys. Or if Swift fizzles in Chicago he's basically a clone of Gibbs for Ben Johnson. I certainly wouldn't be giving him away cheap, but a slight running back on a second contract for a rebuilding team doesn't make a ton of sense.

He's 23...We've got seven good years to go with him. A rebuild won't take that long if you get the right quarterback. Look at Washington and Cincinnati. Two teams that have been the laughing stock of the league for thirty years until their current starting quarterbacks arrived.
