I think we can go 4-1 with the loss being to the Jets and scrape a WC, as I think NE will beat them this weekend and they will lose to the Bears and Pitt. If we beat them then they end up 10-6 with us, though the caveat is I am not sure how the tiebreakers will fall. So my hope is that the Pats win out and have clinched home field by the time we reach them so they rest some starters so we can sneak in like the Jets did last year with a 11-5 record. However we first have to beat Cleveland at home this weekend.
Guys... I hate to be the debbie downer... the pessimistic pete... the glass half empty guy... the guy with the broken rose colored glasses BUT what exactly has this team shown you that makes any one of you think that they are going to win 6 games in a row? I just think that at some point or another that interior OL, lack of TE, Crowder at ILB and the lack of playmakers on offense will cost us another game... and if for some reason we put all those things together the special teams will take care of it.
team seems to be coming together. can only play one game @ a time. a little bit of good luck would go far in the final stretch. these last games will be interesting & give us a clear indication of where we go from here in 2011. doable, not dead yet having said that it will be difficult & never a good thing to depend on others to lose. we need to run the board
The last game Brady lost at home was when? Just saying ... ok to cheer and be hopeful , just don't ignore reality.
Bro, that is so far off who can really say one way or another? I would be happy heading into that game in a "win and you are in" situation in effect a one game playoff.
Interesting stuff, but I agree, all that counts right now is the Cleveland game. On another note I think the key to the remaining schedule is the play of the OL. If they can keep Henne on his feet and keep the running game clicking then we certainly have a shot.
Like in 2000 when we went to New England last game of the season and won the division on Christmas eve.
Thanks, you could see it coming, Wally B was not walking off from a team that he spent 2 yrs developing with the GC in BC in 2011. Dolphins remind me a bit of BC this yr D22, offense was terrible for 2/3 of the season, then exploded to end the season.
Well if you think needing to beat the Bills at home and ONE of the following: @Pit, @NE, Mia is not as good as needing to beat CLE, @NY, Buf, Det, @NE, then I don't know what to tell you. I think if you polled non-biased NFL fans, I am pretty sure most would opt for scenario #1. Here is my bottom, bottom line The Jets need to win the two games they will be favored in out of their remaining games. If they do that, they will end up 11-5, 5-1 in the division and 9-3 in the conference. I am confident that would get them into the playoffs.
I don't think we'll go 5-0 though I hope we do obviously. I'd be happy if we go 3-2, and ecstatic if we go 4-1 honestly.
No, if you lose to us, and the pats, one more loss coupled with a dolphins win means "same old jets" comes back to every Jets forum across the land..
Uuuh. Ok. Like I said. They need to beat the two teams the odds makers feel they should beat. Sorry if one of those wins ends up killing your season. It is what it is.
If you lose the next two, 9-4, if you tie us, we win the tie breakers so we need to win out, and the Jets need to be the Jets. You can do it.
After we beat the Brownies, I simply cannot wait to kick start this process, we are 2-0 in NY the last two yrs, and it has a been a long yr so I am looking forward to that game.
