Most blame the Phins dismal running attack on the team's run blocking. I took a look to PFF on team's rankings in run blocking, and to NFL on teams running. There were some surprises. Top 5 Run Blocking Teams and Their Rank In Running 1 Dallas- #16 2 Houst- #7 3 Jags- #3 4 Pats- #9 5 Jets- #4 Worst 5 Run Blocking Teams and Their Rank In Running 1 Tenn- #17 2 Rams- #25 3 Pitt- #11 4 T B- #8 5 Minny- #10 Miami was the 13th best in run blocking, and #21 rushing. We had a negative grade but, there were only 9 with positive ones. Seems like you don't really need VG blocking to run with success.
So o-coordinating is held accountable too right? I assumed they only measured individual olinemen on running plays based on what they are expected to accomplish (holes).
