What makes you think his shoulder is going to be any better this year?

And why does he know this system any better than he did the Jests Eric?

Childress was his coach in GB, its the same offense he won a superbowl playing. And I am assuming he is not willing to make a bigger fool of himself by coming out of retirement just to come up as a lame duck with an injured shoulder again.

Yeah, of course I forgot aboit the Childress angle, but keep all of this in mind:
He ha his shoulder operated on in May
He is the all time INT leader
He was starting to look very old by the end of last Season
He got preferential treatment and alienated himself from the Jests ala Barry Bonds

All these things are going to add up to one HUGE disappointment in Minny IMO

I should also mention that i heard Jarred Allen interviewed on Sirius the day after farve announced he wouldn't be playing for the Vikes and the start of TC for them was just starting.

to paraphrase he basically said that he was fine with Farve's decision one way or another but he was glad it was before TC. He said he would have a serious problem with regards to respect if their whole team worked their butts off including Sage and Tavares, with all the drills and two a days all to have some guy just come in afterwards after missing all of TC with the rest of the team. He said at the time he's glad he made the decision before TC.

I bet JAllen is not happy that farve just pulled this stunt on the Vikes just because he's lazy and didn't want to participate in TC. I bet lots of vets on the vikes share similar sentiments.

He could cause more of a disaster behind the scenes than most reporters will care to mention. I truely believe he was more disruptive in NY than what was reported. He thinks he doesn't have to follow the same paramaters off field as everyone else on the team, and i am certain that doesn't sit well with certain players. The vikes may win some this year because he's a good fit, but it might not be pretty and could ultimately create more long term damage than the vikes are prepared to handle.

I said this before in another post but it's so true Farve is such a drama queen when he finally retires or unretires in 20 years he will be inducting himself into the football hall of fame.

Suffice it to say Brett Favre can go **** himself, I kinda hope his arm falls off the ****ing prick, may he play one game and get the crap knocked out of his prima donna, "more of me" ***.

    Enough is enough....:tantrum:

I really don't see the problem with Brett Favre coming back. He is offered 10 million dollars to play in a system he knows like the back of his hand, and on a team that has a chance to win the superbowl. Seriousely, Favre would have been stupid not to accept.

I drove home and was hoping to catch the last half of the game. But of course it's all about Lord Favre.

Childress looks like a hobo too.

I did not happen to record the second half of the game and now that needle prick Favre may have knocked me out of a chance to record it.

I'm sort of pissed over it.

I hope Favre breaks the record for most INTS thrown in a game the first time the Vikes play the Packers. Then, breaks his own record the second time they play the Packers.

I couldn't have said it better myself. Farve claims to be a leader. A true leader leads by example. I guess thats the example the viking coaching staff and front office wants him to make for the rest of his new team.

I think Farve thinks his sh3t dosen't stink :pity:

It really doesn't bother me at all. If the guy wants to play, and somebody wants him then let him play. The only problem I have with him is not being about to make his mind up. As long as he doens't affect the Dolphins, then I really don't care what he does.

I guess you don't get it why people are sick of Farve and his I have no more to give with tears and the next day trying to get back into the NFL. How many years did this man hold Green bay hostage with I don't know if I will retire ? How many times did he call the Green Bay management liars but yet he continues to lie to the fans by saying I don't have anymore to give and there's no chance I will come back to play ? For the last 7 years Farve has held the media and the Nfl hostage and I am sick of it, he makes me want to vomit. This man has lost any kind of credibility and legacy, who is he to question anybody in Green Bay by saying if they are true Packer fans they will understand ? This guy is scum and here is some breaking news, he is not bigger than the Nfl.

I just saw that his 12 million dollar salary will be dealt 4 million a year for the next 3 years. So, if he gets hurt, or retires for real after this season, the Vikes have 2 years having to throw him $4 mill, and not having him on the team. I dont blame Favre for that because he didn't approve it. The team did.

I'm really sick of Favre and I never thought he was all that great, but I do think this is a better situation than he had last year with the Jets. I think he'll benefit from having a very good run offense, better WRs and a better defense as well as working in a system he's used to.

The annoyed side of me wants him to fail, but the analyst side thinks that if he is patient and isn't placed in a position where he has to force many passes they could be very successful.

How sweet would it be if the Vikings and Phins made it to the Super Bowl, and Miami gave Favre a repeat of last season's last game?

Don't think so. But I do remember the Jets sent one of the later-round picks they got from the trade, back to Green Bay. This was right before Favre started flirting with the Vikings, so they probably saw it coming

Read my post again. I am talking about him coming back this season. I am not talking about the fans or anyone else but Favre. He was offered ALOT of money by a team that has a chance to win the Superbowl with a QB like him. He would have been dumb not to accept.

I really have no problem with Favre coming back, this season or last season. Yea, it was all over ESPN, but I don't watch ESPN anyway. Or NFL Network for that matter. And I thought everyone was the same way. Guess not.
