The Jaguars are placing DE Jeremy Mincey on the trade block. The Skinny: Mincey (6-4, 265, 4.65 40-yard dash) is a 29-year-old DE (and OLB in 3-4 if needed) that is one of the league's top run-stuffes. He graded out in the Top 5 against the run according to PFF. He had 8 sacks in 2011. That number dropped to 3 this year because of poor secondary play, but his pressure numbers were still strong. His contract is very reasonable - $3,550,000. In last year's GML, he went for $9 mil as a free agent...and that's when the salary cap was at $85 million. Because of scheme changes, he's no longer an ideal fit in Jacksonville's defense, that's why he's expendable. I would like to get value for him, starting with draft picks or a MLB/TE/C. But I'm in no rush to trade him. He can serve as a versatile reserve or possibly a starter in my scheme, so I'm fine not moving him if the value isn't there. PM me if interested.
