The fact that none of you guys can even credit the Saints is as biased as it gets.

I don't believe the "I wasn't cheering for either team" talk.

The referees may not be in position to "win this game for the Saints" if Brett Favre has the brain of the "greatest QB ever"

Peyton will get the calls, too. Just like Brett did.

The Vikings blew this game. Three turnovers in the red zone. If you win a game with those types of numbers, kudos to you. Saints played good defense though and the O was very good. I give them credit but I do think the Vikings blew this more.

Credit them? For what? With the amount of turnovers Minny had, they shoulda blown the Vikings away, not won the game in OT on a FG. A good season? Sure. Congrats i guess...

Review my posts on the day here as well... positive comments for both teams throughout the game. I couldnt care less who won. I was just enjoying a quality game... until OT anyways.

    FLASHBACK! Anyone catch that replay?

Damn those refs three years ago in the NFC Championship game (NYG / GB).

THERE WAS A HOLD ON THE INT RETURN!!!!!

Did you see it? I saw it. Someone got touched!

Check my posts. I hate Favre but it doesn't change the fact that the refs didn't let the players play.

Doesn't matter though. The Colts won't turn the ball over that many times.

For winning the damn conference and advancing to the Super Bowl.

I seriously do not believe that you weren't rooting for the Vikings with that response.

What is wrong with the NFL OT rule? you have offense, and you have defense...if you lose the flip, then your defense has the same opportunity to make plays as their offense.

    Needs no fixing.

terrible call on the "catch" and that 1st down run over the middle....Is it me or has this season just been full of terrible judgment calls? I can't remember any other football season where I was mind boggles over calls week in and week out.

I wasn't. I dont like them. I don't like the Saints. I dont like Favre either. I just dont see the need to congratulate anyone for the outcome of that game the way that OT unfolded...

As i stated as the game was unfolding in OT... as a fan of the NFL I feel robbed for the outcome of the game.

Believe what you want, but its obvious you're rooting for the Saints in this one because you obviously dislike Favre, and the outcome of the game suits you just fine. However, I'm sure anyone with a neutral opinion on the game, will feel slightly upset with how the outcome was reached. Sorry, you just dont make questionable calls like that in an NFC championship game, in overtime.

Imagine we were the vikings in this situation... and this was the superbowl. Miami vs the Saints. and this exact same outcome occurred. You wouldn't feel robbed eh? Sure...

I think the fact that both teams do not get an offensive possession is what's wrong with the NFL OT rule... Here's what I would like to see...

Coin toss... winner chooses to kick or receive. If the receiving team scores on the drive, they then kick the ball off to the other team. That team then has a chance to score and either tie the game again, or win the game. If they dont score, its game over. If they score more than the other team, then its game over. If they tie, then its another kickoff, and its sudden death from there.

At least that way each team had a chance to have all parts of their team on the field in OT with a chance to effect the outcome of the game.

    Just a thought of mine...

I don't know if I dislike Brett Favre more than I dislike Reggie Bush -- it's pretty close. Whether you believe that I'd have the balls to do it or not, I'd punch Reggie Bush in the face if I ever saw him in person and I had a pretty bad day going for myself. Of course I was rooting for the Saints, though. I'm sick and tired of Brett Favre and his Drama Queen garbage. I was rooting for New Orleans as a CITY more than anything. And of course there were a few bad calls in OT, but so what? There were horrible calls throughout this game from my eyes, and the Vikings were beneficial from quite a few of them. To throw the Saints under the bus for one or two bad calls is simply unfair. Maybe the Vikings aren't in the position they're in without a few calls that went their way early on?

This was not a completely evenly called game that the refs blew on ONE CALL in OT. Both teams benefited from poor calls in this game.

You turn the ball over and GET LUCKY recovering as many of your own fumbles as Minnesota did (with the ball bouncing off countless New Orleans defenders), boy, you better THANK GOD that you're even in the football game... I'm actually shocked that high powered offense didn't put up 50 with all these turnovers. What type of game did Sean Payton call today? I think New Orleans failed to convert three or four 3rd & 1 plays, come on.

Right, and thats fine, and I'll agree with you on all of that... but its OVERTIME... in the NFC championship... No reason for tacky and blown calls like those to alter the outcome of a game of that importance. No reason whatsoever.

I understand why you would want it to be like that, but to me, if you are the better team, your defense should be able to stop that offense, thus ending in a turnover or punt and then probably better field position for your offense.

Your comment sent me threw 3 other teams forums across the country and it appears you hate Farve every place i stopped seen the same bad overtime refs we did. You seem to keep throwing in how Farve is not worthy but he plays on a team the Vikings. The Vikings got #@%*ed.

Congratz to the real players on the Saints they deserve it but the refs are making me sick of trying to watch a real football game.

yeah, i think that rule is fine and i wouldnt have a problem with it. i really dont have a problem with the current system either. both teams had 60 minutes to settle it. to me its a continuation of 60 minutes. the one system i would be completely opposed to is the college one. that would simply be ridiculous

i would really like the refs to stay out of it in the playoffs however like they do in hockey. during the regular season you get the ticky tack calls. in the playoffs they let the players play

Should be a pretty damned good game. Both teams are pretty well rounded although I have to agree with you in that N.O. has a more balanced Offensive attack.
