Let me add that Dexter McCluster looked explosive in practice, he is helping himself alot at the Senior Bowl.

I am starting to really like the idea of drafting Graham. He would fill a "must need" position.

As much as I like Graham, you'd have to wonder if Carrington keeps showing like he is, if this front office wouldn't look at him as a SOLB candidate. Greg Ellis was cut from a similar cloth, as is Jason Taylor, only a lot lighter. I think this regime wants someone whos long on the strongside. This Carrington kid intrigues me.

Iupati is average at best. I remember the Justin Blalock hype.

Has anybody seen anything on LB Jamar Chaney from Mississippi State? He was in my high school graduating class. Any chance hes a guy the dolphins could be looking at?

i read George Selvie is really impressing. Iupati looks lost as a OT but very good as a OG. Myron Rolle is impressing also

Nice to hear that Rolle is doing well. I've been swamped at work this week and haven't seen any coverage. Hard not to root for a kid like him.

Come to poppa Brandon Lang, I'd love to snag him late in the draft, like Rd #6, his problem is not a lack of explosiveness, it is a plain old Small College lack of proper strength and conditioning, he is the type of player who will/could blossom in the NFL if given time to develop.

totally agree, I asked about him a while back. I think it was Boomer that siad he wasnt sure where he was going to play in the NFL because he played a rover position at FSU (Boomer, sorry if that wasnt you :wink2:).

He is a guy that is probably going to be on the board when we pick in the 4th round. I would love to pick him there.

too high for me but I do like him. I took FS off our boards. I think Clemons is the real deal and if not we have FA and possibly converting Will Allen to the position

I'd like to think that as well, but I'd have a hard time not picking someone like Morgan Burnett if he's there in the 2nd round and letting he and Clemons battle it out.

i like burnett too and wouldnt be disappointed if we took him with our 2nd. we would have a bit of a logjam if clemons and burnett or rolle all panned out. guess its a good problem to have though. i'm really interested to see how we address our OLB positions this year. Do we dump both Porter and Taylor? Do we bring back Taylor. Can Wake learn to do anything but rush straight up the field. Do we draft OLBs. Do we move Merling to SOLB? Do we pick up a OLB in free agency? Do we stay pat and leave it for next year? So many possibilities and in my mind one of the most, if not the most, important decison the FO has to make. I think its a given we will bring in either one or two ILBs so to me the great debate is going to be what do we do about our OLB position? Personally I'm hoping for Greg Hardy with our 2nd but who knows what Parcells and Irleand are thinking on this one

Just saw Sean Weatherspoon interviewed by Lindsay Soto of the NFLN. Kid sounds like he has his head screwed on straight. Yes ma'am'ed her 2-3 times. Spoke with confidence (not cocky) and very concisely. At one point she said since he's played both ILB and OLB, where did he see himself playing at the NFL level, and he said he'd do what whoever drafts him wants him to do.

IMO, I'm not sure how much Burnett is better than Nate Allen, who has a 3rd round grade I believe.

he's a Parcells guy through and tthrough. I am certain he is on our boards and will be discussed as a possibility. Reading the reports, he's basically eliminated my biggest negative about him, which was he didnt play with enough violence. From what I reaad he's really bringing the wood this week. If we can get him in the 2nd we'll have bagged a very good player

And Arthur Moats has been invited to the Senior bowl as well.

All my small school guys are at the game, at least most of them, Lang, Moats, Lane, if Adrian Tracey is added then "Small College Sleepers" will become "yeah, we know about that guy".

i hate when that happens. quarless, hardy, blair white and emanuel sanders all impressed somewhat at the east west shrine and now i have to go back and figure out how much higher they will be drafted. i originally had blair white in my mock as a 6th or 7th and now i see people speculating that he is a 4th rounder off that week and maybe higher if he runs a fast 40 at the combine :tantrum:

Tell me about it, Sparano apparently has a mancrush on Jimmie Graham, being an Ex Te Coach it would figure, but man, JG early destroys my ideas for a mock draft, I'd expected a sleeper Te late in the draft.

    Like Schuler out of PSU.

Nice read alen. You think Carrington, if he keeps doing well in pass-rushing drills, might have a shot at SOLB in a 3-4? I've been swamped at work this week and haven't seen anything from Mobile this week other than what I've read here.

Tracy is a nice "gem" for the later rounds potentially. CK had him in his very early mock draft a while back. I read up on him and from what I learned, I think he'd be a nice developmental OLB in the later rounds.

I haven't been able to see the practices this week either, honestly. From what I watched of him at Arkansas St., I never saw him drop in coverage and never in a stand-up role.

Gotcha. I wondered if he might be that type of project that this regime has converted to SOLB in the past, sorta cut fromt he Greg Ellis, Matt Roth, perhaps even the more experimental cloth in Merling and Holliday who had a a few practices there. I did see that he measured 6'5 and 1/4" but had some short arms though at only 31 and 3/8 inches.

Talk about being an A-Hole! One of my professors here at South Alabama is getting to work as security at the game on the side line ... so not only is the bastard burying me in so much home work I dont have time to go watch practices, the bastard is going to be working one of the field access gates! Arrrggh!!!!
