Love them or hate them, Scorpions were one of the best live bands I have ever seen, and have a legacy of hits that I'm sure will live on forever.

While I'm sad to see them go, it's better that they do go out on top of their game, instead of ending up a pale version of their former selves a la Kiss and Metallica.

    Rock on forever Scorpions! :butthead:

I hate to even think like this as it sends me into convulsions, but are Iron Maiden next?

    True story,
Way back when I was a Sophmore in high school, playing soccer, one of my team-mates was a transfer from Germany.
He turned me onto this band that consisted of group of guys that his brother knew. I listened to music, all the lyrics were in German, but knew instantly that was a very talented group of guys.
Of course it was the Scorpions, and they have always been one of my favorites....not Led Zeppelin favorite, but easily ACDC, Frank Zappa, Black Sabbath favorite.

What I recall about the Scorpions, besides "Rock you like a hurricane" on MTV was their albums being pulled from shelves because the covers were fairly explicit for the time.

Of course that was in the Retirement Haven portion of FL.

Get some of their earlier albums...not pop at all.

And JFTR...it's just "Scorpions", no "the". :wink2:

Always been a big Scorpions fan. I love 'The Zoo'. 'Love At First Sting' was one of the first fully digital recorded albums, and a definite classic Lp. Thanks for all the music guys, it'll remain some of my favorite stuff to listen to.
