Bought my first new car on Monday. I got a 2010 Toyota Corolla S in Magnetic Gray. The fiancee's car is coming to the end of the line and I needed something to cut back on using my work car. Felt the 0% for 60months, $1000 recent grad rebate, and $0 down was too good to pass up. Especially considering the longevity of Toyotas (both in drive-ability and resale value), it seemed like a real good deal. For a 4 cylinder it's a lot of fun to drive too.
I've had a few Toyotas, but my first was a 1980 Corolla; Ran that thing for 140,000+ miles and never did anything to it except regular service intervals. 1.8 5-speed and a lot of fun to drive. After a few years I got rid of it, because, you know...who needs THAT ****.
I would guess they took care of it since the recall happened like in Aug 09, and I don't even think my car was even made then.
Nice car, nice house, and nice neighborhood...doing pretty well for yourself eh? Seriously though nice car and deals it came with were great too. Congrats.
No, man this affects your car. Better to be safe than sorry. Call the dealer and make sure your car is o.k.
i'm white and my first car was an '87 El Camino. Two tone silver/smoke gray, small block 305....LOVED that car...so did everyone else
Correct. The car is not ok and needs to be fixed by the dealer. I had the same problem with my first car, a 77 Chevy Monte Carlo, and it is pretty damn scary to have the accelerator stuck to the floor. I had to slam on the brakes drive the car off the road and put it in neutral to avoid slamming the car in front of me.
Now I see why he got an el camino. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XxPHwQ65vFo"]YouTube- YUGO CAR ACCIDENT[/ame]
Dude, you live in one of those cookie-cutter neighborhoods! If I did not know any better, I would say you lived in mine! I swear, I could look outside of my home and see the same thing. They are popping up everywhere around here (after Katrina). Even though I like the home, it's getting a little too busy. We're actively looking for a home. Can't wait. Neat car, btw. Cool color! Gotta love that new car smell! HERE I personally would rather the carcinogens from a new car than the fart-smelling seats of my grandmother's hand-me-down Ford LTD. I pimp the sh*t outta that thing! As you can see, I put some dubs on it. I love the faux wood-grain. It's da shizzle! There's a bed in the back where I hook up with chicks. I'm going to put up some curtains in the back. You know you wanna trade.....
Yea, it's definitely a cookie cutter neighborhood, but it's still a desirable place to live based on what I have heard from people around town.
You know what I do not like about them, is that they cut down all of the trees. It's really unfortunate. And now, they're renting out more and more homes around here. We have a $1700/year HOA fee and all of the rules have gone out of the window. I'm outta this joint! Nice homes, but I think I am gonna have someone else pay the mortgage....
agree... Stitches me boy....confirm your VIN# Toyota recall: look at your VIN If the number starts with a "JT" it was made in Japan and it is not affected. All other vehicles on the recall list should be taken into the dealership for an inspection. If you have any questions, call 1-800-331-4331. http://www.kget.com/news/local/story...nObk9-dmQ.cspx
