The Lions are believed to be planning on drafting a linebacker in the second round of the draft. The team is thought to be especially high on Jerod Mayo of Tennessee, who would start out on the strong side and eventually ease to the middle spot if drafted by the Lions. We should take him at 32, but I really dont think he will be there. Ive seen some mocks having him going around 15 recently, and most with him in the mid-later 20s. No way in hell hes still around at the lions #2. I would be thrilled to have him here as Zachs replacement.
