Ok, but did the cops get called, and were you led out in handcuffs because of it? This school needs a crash course in common sense, and to learn how not to overreact.

i totally agree..being arrested for it was waaaayy over doing it.what befugles me is that the principal also went along with the idea that aressting the kid was the "right"thing to do.my principal laughed when he heard what my teacher sent me for(the woman just had it out for me).only i don't know the full story of this like was she arrested for the "property damage" to the desk or did she flip out when she got in trouble and did something that may have caused the arrest.either way i bet none of her classmates think twice about doodling on their desk or anything else.

And they say that schools have become more permissive over the years. Pshaw!

It's a slippery slope guys. First we let her get away with doodling, then she's turning tricks for Meth. Gotta nip these things in the bud.

Just punishment. Sure, it seems harsh, but I am willing to bet she doesn't doodle on ****ing government property again!

maybe how the system she has grown up in and told to respect is run by fools, busybodies, totalitarians and will now be jaded towards it. how busy work is not the solution to stupidity

This reminds me of how a girl that was a year ahead of me once told me that she and a friend of hers would intentionally get writing assignments like that, usually 500 words and then they would make designs, like cars, out of the essays. They would put words into the wheels and other parts.

Principal Niedermeyer also said she had a "pledge pin!!! on her uniform!!?!?."

in addition to her other punishments, she had to drop and give him 20 (pushups).

    :tongue2:
