Where to start. OK the blanket octopus doesn't even cause us Aussies to flinch. The Blue Ringed octupus which hides in wading pools and packs enough venom to kill a horse when you accidentally stand one on the other hand ... They missed out on some other cool critters. Jellyfish. Not only do we get the Box Jellyfish that has eyes but no brain and has tentacles that can kill, but if you are fortunate(?) enough to survive the incredible pain and survive will leave you horribly scarred for life. We also have the irukiandji, which is about the size of a nickle and can kill you. I am not making this up: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irukandji_jellyfish Stonefish are cool. They have enormously venomous spines on their back which will put you in hospital if you stand on one of them. They don't kill you - normally. Very dissapointed that the world's most venomous snake, the Western Taipan didn't get a mention. Nor did the Eastern Taipan, King Brown, Brown, Death Adder, Red Bellied Black or Copperhead get a mention. Slightly disappointing. I can understand the Sharks and Crocodiles not getting a bite since they do get to other places as well.

Hey brother, just an FYI; my in-laws were in Australia for 2 weeks and they loved it. The only thing they mentioned was bats. So I would say go for it.
Actually the flying foxes are totally harmless unless you own a fruit orchard or park your car underneath a colony. Although we did have fun with one exchange student from California who we managed to convince that they were carnivorous.

I've had my GF for 2 years now (practically lives with me) - small white, petite thing, cooks for me, always been good to me. !!! I go away on vacation for a week, come back and something just doesn't seem right . I asked my Dad if he had seen anything happen with my GF and he acts clueless. So fast forward to 3 weeks later... I'm coming home from work when bam clear as day right in my Kitchen I catch my Dad red handed with his meat in my GF. I was PISSED, told him to get his meat out of GF and GTFO, needless to say my GF got turned off. I just couldn't get over it and that night kicked my GF to the curb. Now it's been 2 weeks since the incident and that I've been without my GF and about 10 minutes ago my Dad had the audacity to ask my how my GF has been. - when he's the damn reason we ain't together no more.
