    Thiggy to Buffalo?

Now if we give up a #3 for Boldin, we could peddle Thiggy for a #3 to replace the one we gave up for Boldin as well as resigning Pennington to replace Thiggy...

If it worked out like that, huge win for us. Acquire an elite receiver for a third, then basically trade our 5th round pick to move higher in the third round. I doubt Buffalo gives up a third for Thigpen, though

Sounds more like an opportunity for Pennington to me.

Well, it would seem the offseason won't be dull after all, with Boldin, Porter, Thigpen, and who knows who else on the trade block.

yeah. Seems like we're going t be very active this off-season. From the looks of it we won't be losing much talent if these trades go through. Very promising outlook so far. Lets hope we can make things happen.

My thoughts there to. Thigy isn't a seasoned vet he can claim vet but its a short time on the field. I do like your idea Padre if we could just talk them into it.

hmm,i see them going for a derek anderson than trading inner division.the kid from carolina(moore)could also be in that mix depending on what they do with delhomme or they could go brunnell from the saints.jason campell may even be on the outs..lots of qb's for the picking before they go that route.

why not send penny/thiggy and a third to az?they need a qb as they don't seem confident in loinhard.although im not one that really wants boldin but i wouldnt be upset if he came here.

I'd rather keep Thigpen than trade him within the division to the Bills... As we know, qb's rarely make it through a full season and Henne is no exception to that rule.

If Penny comes back and accepts a backup roll, Thiggy might be an option, but he's not exactly veteran IMO, only played like 10 games IIRC. I would really rather we kept Penny, he's the perfect backup and I want him continuing to mentor Henne.

Send them Pat White, he's played in a few games

If we sent Pennington over to the Bills we'd be stupid. Did we learn nothing with from the jets?

Boldin is an UFA after this season. Zona can get something now or, get nothing next year.

You mean going 1-15? Because the JETS pioneered going 1-15.

Pennington is an UFA. We won't be sending him anywhere. He's free to sign with whomever he pleases without our permission.

Pads I would run to Miami from RI butt arse naked!!!!!!!!! if that were to happen, we would get Boldin, and trade Thiggy to Buffalo for their 3rd, and it would be even better than our 3rd!!!! we would move up 3 spots!!! hahah love it love it love it Pads...I wont be able to sleep tonight thinking about it.....

I see Buffalo trying to talk Pennington into going up there honestly.

I'm really hoping he's set down his roots in Miami, and stays here for family. I really do not see this FO turning him down to accept a backup job on the team unless they have their heads crammed up their....

Gaily had experience with Thiggy right? So being able to negotiate a 3rd for someone who showed a lot of potential in KC, and stepped in as a 3rd QB, in an offense he jumped into midseason, and managed to put points on the board. So he's seen the field, is ready to make waves, and has potential. I think getting a 3rd is pretty fair for us, and for them.

As for Boldin, 2socks, the main Boldin post on the forum here has a rumor or two suggesting that Arizona has lowered the tender for him to a 2nd and possibly a 3rd. Maybe get rid of Porter and throw a 3rd in like a couple people suggested, and bam, kill 2 birds with one stone.

It all makes sense, but it's kind of an "if the stars align" trade scenario for us. It would honestly be the luckiest FA/trading the Phins have done in a while though.

They Jets let Pennington sign with us and then turn our franchise around. Chad is the kind of quarterback that Buffalo needs and he would really help that team get it going. Also he could end up there two ways. We can sign him and trade him or let him sign with the bills. I think seeing as how Chad has said that he wouldn't mind staying here as a back up we should lock him up and not let him go to the bills. And definitely don't sign him and then trade him.
