the jests backed the brinks truck up for over-rated, under performing LBs like Scott and Pace...lets back it up for a guy who is actually a player!

He could, but would be inside for us. The leader of the defense and making the guys around him better. Even having Crowder playing next to him would work.

I dunno if we can sign them both, I think it's going to be one or the other. But then again there is this no-cap limit that I don't fully understand.

and draft Mr. Brandon Graham

i dont want to make myself all woozy, but dansby and wilfork in FA would be ridiculous.

Crowders play would no doubt be elevated, and akin would be a pretty good bench player, spelling those guys.

If we get Dansby then I'm guessing its either Bryant, Odrick, or Graham at 12.

If we are willing to give JP a guaranteed 20 mil and offer Pace the same kind of money then why not Dansby?:wink2: works for me. Besides who cares what the total figure is as he won't ever see that anyway.

That's what I was thinking. And IIRC, it wasn't but 2-3 years ago no one wanted to come to Miami...right? Parcells has changed the "philosophy." And, now instead of players turning their noses up to us, now they want to be part of the program. Man...you gotta love it!

Two great minds think alike anlgp...I was wondering the same thing myself.

To be accurate, Parcells said it in 2006.

    Still, he's only gotten better.

Back up the Brinks truck. I have zero doubt we will pursue him. And unless Arizona puts some kind of tag on him, I think we have a great shot at landing him.

There's no reason not to go after him. He solves a major problem, and loosens up our draft a bit to search for quality players, versus need players.

I'm not a fan of Crowder at all, but I believe he can play if he's got someone beside him making the big plays, and he can just focus on being middle of the road, and not having to be a superstar.

thanks man. i realize it's a lotta $ tied up into one position, but in a 3-4 LB = so crucial. if we can get a proven vet like dansby and a young stud like mcclain to LEARN from dansby..

    :omg:

we pick up a WR in FA.. past that rookie WR wall thing where they don't know jack ****.. and we're good. some other things in the draft..

    we'll be sitting pretty.

I'm not sure. If we landed Dansby I would look at an OLB in the first round, and let Dansby make Crowder better playing next to him.

Agreed, Crowder would be much better with Dansby, and Dansby can cover. Add in a NT like Hampton, in FA, Boldin via trade, and Kindle, who can also cover, as our top pick.

I would be a VERY HAPPY PHANATIC!!!

I've seen a few mock's that have FS Berry slipping down past us, the latest on NFL.com today. I don't see it happening but, who knows.

For now, I'm still sold on Kindle. He wreaks havoc, and reminds me a bit of a young JT.

Speaking towards Crowder, Dansby would also improve our nickel/dime defenses, as he would replace Crowder/Ayodele in those packages. Major upgrade.

He is a true 3-down inside linebacker.

As I recall, the offer to Pace was a total of $20M+. That was Porter's guaranteed money. Big difference.
