Dolphins win the trade. I was wondering when Paul was going to trade a Buckeye to a buckeye fan.

Anyone who traded for Ginn was gonna be the loser around here.

Somewhat similar rookie years, obviously MM might actually realize his potential unlike Ginn thus far.

I liked getting another 3rd also.

To those of us who dont HATE Ginn this is the chance for him to face #2 corners and recieve much less attention from the Saftey thanks to Calvin Johnson and Antonio Gates.

Not to mention he fills the KR void left from Cribbs.

I think returning home will do wonders for Ginn since his "family" already lives there.

But Paul 13 got a WR with alot of upside aswell.

I actually really liked the deal for you as I was never a Massaquoi fan. To me hes slightly better then Ginn so you essentially traded a 3rd for a 6th and took a negligible downgrade at WR :wink2:

Yeah, I think it works for both sides as well. For us, we get another legitimate WR who has great downfield ability. MM at 6-2 210 had an average per reception of 18.4 last year. We needed that chunk yardage ability. You add him and remember that we got Greg Jennings (his career average is 16.4 and Zach Miller (he's improved statistically every year) and I'm really happy with the toys that Chad Henne has to play with. I hate giving up a 3rd round pick, but it was late in the third and I don't think I could find a WR that could start for us immediately at that stage of the draft. It also gives us a lot of flexibility from a three and four wide set. We can put Jennings in the slot along with Bess and have Hartline and MM on the outside, put the fear back in opposing defenses that has been lacking around Miami for a long time.

Well. I started it on Finheaven... This is my 11th year And you've been playing just as long. My first year was in 2000 on saintsreport. You were playing then. I think you were 15 or something at the time....it started on the dolphins board after rickys 1st season with the dolphins. I signed up at finheaven to discuss the trade. The following offseason I came over to recruit a dolphins gm for the saintsreport league. AJ liked the sound of it and asked me to start a gm league on finheaven.....2003 sounds about right.

I'm just facsinated anybody is taking Vern on.
I mean, how did that trade go down?
TWSS: Ill trade you Ziggy, Smith and a 2nd for Freeney and a late pick.

Boik: Nothing doing, not unless you throw Vernon in as well :shifty:

Just kidding Matt, you know I love you brother.
Incidentally, 2nd funniest thing I ever read at Gang Green: "Only way Ghoulston makes a sack is if Bart Scott throws him at the QB.
    Funniest thing?
One poster stated that Snatchez had the "IT" factor. Another poster astutely pointed out that "No, he has that INT factor".

Ever wonder how Ginn is ragged on more than a guy like Jason Allen? I mean they werent drafted far apart as far as 1st round positioning, and Ginn has made plays!

But yet Ginn is made out to be the biggest bust in Phins history. Sadly I have to stick to my theory that it has alot to do with Dolphin fans hard on for Brady Quinn. You know that guy I traded on the 1st day for a 5th round oick and a slot reciever....and I think I won that trade.

He just seems to get alot more "extra attention" than a guy like Allen for some reason.

But he's back in Cleveland now hangin with Lebron....

It's a good trade for both teams. Saints clear a little bit of cap, Gay comes to Tampa Bay. He's better playing in a zone scheme, which is what we're running, so he will step in and start opposite of Talib immediately.

Outside of one guy (who will go for a fortune, I'd wager), there really isn't a lot else in the FA market for CB that I was interested in. Then again, I'm running a Tampa-2 while everyone else is running a 3-4.

Yeah I needed to clear some more cap space. I look at my depth chart and even after trading Gay I have Malcolm Jenkins as my nickel. You needed a cb....4th and 1.5 mil isn't too bad.

    2 players for 2 thirds.

scandrick was picked on a lot, the most by any other dback on the team. i didnt want to trade igor, cause i like him and his name flat out rules, but 2 thirds iisnt bad. i can replace scandrick.
