Bucs Score Early L to R: Brown, Colon, Koch, Pollard, Sims Barely 72 hours into Free Agency, and the Tampa Bay Bucs have been quite busy. Aside from trading linebacker Barrett Ruud for former Pro Bowler Jason Peters, the Bucs have added a host of young and hungry players on both offense and defense. Tampa Bay has been focused on the offensive line early, brining in both Willie Colon and Rob Sims to start alongside Peters. Colon was rated the #1 RT in the NFL by the website Pro Football Focus, while Sims was rated as the #8 G overall. Defensively the Buccaneers have brought in Tony Brown to start opposite of the recently acquired Glenn Dorsey. Brown has been a consistent pass rusher as an NFL starter, recording at least 4 sacks each of the last 3 years. The Bucs also add Bernard Pollard to a suddenly revamped secondary. Bucs GM Vengeful Odin is reputedly very high on Pollard, citing him as an "All-Pro in the making." Tampa Bay also signed Sam Koch to handle punting duties. Koch was able to hit 26 out of 73 attempts inside the 20 yard line.
The Bears are happy to welcome Chad Clifton to play LT and protect Jay Cutler's blindside so he has enough time to throw interceptions.

Packers Improve with Signings The Green Bay Packers were not shy about throwing their money around early on in Free Agency. They have improved their team with signing WR Antonio Bryant, LB Kirk Morrison, CB Tramon Williams, TE Ben Patrick, and back up QB Byron Leftwich. The sure handed Bryant landed a 7 million dollar contract. Many view this as over paying but the Packer brass felt they needed a number 1 Reciever and felt Free agency was the best value instead of giving up valuable draft picks. They also feel as though top WR prospect Dez Bryant won't be available at their spot in the draft so they needed to act fast. Kirk Morrison also landed a hefty deal of 6 million dollars. We suspect that he will man the middle with Pro Bowler Nick Barnett. "Captain Kirk", 28, had 133 total tackles last year and has 7 career interceptions. Tramon Williams was tendered as a restricted free agent. Luckily the Packers were able to keep their number 2 CB. The former University of Delaware star, Ben Patrick has also sign on with the Packs. He looks to be a very good option as a number 2 tight end. Leftwich give the Pack some insurance just in case super star Aaron Rodgers has an injury.
