GREAT write-up, BDH for a BIG victory. Wow, I can only imagine Dupree is smarting right now.

The balance of power in the AFC North may have been upset! With all the new faces this season, the old Division Champions cannot rest easily, as I look up from the cellar at 0-4 myself, far worse off than Dupree!

20 USERS NOW! what a league.

What a great game you two player. We have MANY more like it to look forward to.

Oh DAMN... boyz got stick skillz.

I wish I could WATCH Sick play you. Y'all are both ballers! lol.

You guys have to BOTH promise to save highlights.

Hey, Sick, you didn;t save any highlights tonight! I saved mine, but they make it look like I won! lol.

Final Thought: With the Falcons, Panthers AND SAints all user-controlled the NFC SOUTH is now officially a slaughterhouse!

By the way, Sick beat me in an NFC Championship game rematch.

I actually fared better in this game than last year's playoff game, but still lost.

The key play was a INT returned for a TD by Panthers' LB Michael Boley. It was a throw that rookie Vikings QB Jake Scott thought he had open. "I saw Phoenix running open. I knew I could fit it in. I'd make the same throw again. Maybe I'd try to lead him a bit more. That linebacker just made a hell of a play."

The feisty Vikings did improve their QB play this game, with Scott posting a 116 QB rating. Scott was 18/31 with 354 yds, 3TDs and 1 INT. The story of the game however were the drops by the receivers and tight ends. A total of 5 dropped passes, including a key fourth down drop, may have swung this game's balance. On an even more sour note, however, All-Universe runningback Adrian Peterson was lost for the rest of the season with a shoulder/collarbone injury.

Head Coach Brad Childress commented that his switch to John Runyan at RG may have contributed to the disaster. Runyan allowed an unblocked Jon Beason into the backfield, where his hit on Peterson sent AP to the lockeroom on the cart.

In all, however, Scott showed enough promise to keep hopes alive for this season and the future. The Vikings defense, however, must begin to do a better job of creating turnovers against opponents.

Highlights have been posted on our franchise page at easports.com

    On the Road Again...

The Jacksonville Jaguars started the season with three straight home wins, knocking off the Texans, Colts, and Giants. Week four of the NFL season had the Jags going on the road to face a win less Redskins team in Washington, one of four straight road games leading into their bye in week eight. On paper this game wasn't much of a contest. Jacksonville came in with the highest scoring offense and tied with the Titans for best scoring defense, compared to the Redskins who have scored less points in three games than the Jaguars did in their opener. Never underestimate a team desperate for a win though, especially when said team is at home.

Washington took the opening kickoff and had moderate gains on offense until Jason Campbell found Clinton Portis over the middle for a 42 yard touchdown. Jacksonville then answered Washington with a score of their own, as David Garrad rolled out and found Mike Sims-Walker open for a 20 yard touchdown. Two opening drives that resulted in scores and the first quarter ended 7-7.

Then the Jaguars defense that has played well all season started to emerge. The defense was able to produce some turnovers and kept Washington off the scoreboard in the second quarter. Surprisingly, the Jacksonville offense seemed a little off, and were only able to come away with a field goal in the second quarter. Going into halftime with a score of 10-7 Jacksonville had to feel good, but maybe a little surprised at the fight the home team was putting up.

The defense of Jacksonville continued to get turnovers and held Washington scoreless in the third quarter as well. The defensive turnovers helped the Jaguars offense come to life as Maurice Jones-Drew started to get warmed up. Jones-Drew's runs helped set up a 17 yard touchdown run up the middle by Rashad Jennings, and a 4 yard touchdown by Shagg Makino. The Redskins kept fighting though and were able to put together a scoring drive off of a Garrad interception to make the game 24-14. Jacksonville's offense ultimately proved to be too much though as Josh Scobee kicked his second field of the day, and MJD punched in an eight run for his first touchdown of the game making it 34-14. Washington would find the endzone one more time with only a few seconds left to make the final score 34-21.

The Jaguars defense allowed Washington to convert 4/5 fourth downs and also gave up a meaningless touchdown as the game wound down; those mistakes aside the defense played pretty well. First round pick Alonzi Simms was able to pick Campbell off twice, his first interceptions of his career. Fourth round pick Sean Marbury forced a fumble and had a sack, while Trevor Pryce playing opposite of him also had a sack and an interception. Brian Williams got his second interception this season, and John Henderson came away with two sacks on the day. The offensive numbers were a little less impressive as Garrad only passed for 101 yards, and the normally potent running game only produced 136 yards. The one bright spot for the offense was backup running backs Jennings and Makino finding the end-zone and taking some of the load off MJD.

The road win puts Jacksonville at 4-0, and helps them stay one game ahead of the Tennesse Titans in the AFC South. The Titans shutout the Patriots, while the Texans defeated the Colts to move into third place within the division. With Cleveland's win over the Ravens and the Raiders loss to the Seahawks, the Browns and Jaguars are the only undefeated teams left in the AFC.
