We can trade for Shaun Rogers, but losing the Big Ferg is disappointing.

 

Well, at least that clears up the NT situation somewhat.

 

Disappointing in that an option is being taken away, but maybe it's for the best that we'll elevate this even further as a priority.

 

Wow, this came out of no where. Very dissapointed.

 

Local radio says he's looking for 3.5 per season. Not too expensive but then again he's only a 30-40 play per game guy now. Great in locker room though

 

Gotta think NT is a real possibility at #12 for us. Going a season with Solai/McDaniel manning the position doesnt bode well.

Maybe we make a run at JWill, but hes coming off an injury.

Well that's that I guess. An 8 game suspension. I think they have to find a NT now, they don't have much choice. Soliai at this point isn't much more than a backup. Who is out there in free agency that we could use? Is there anybody?

 

better we find this out now and not May 1st.

Wow. I'm thinking that if we don't pick up a FA (or trade for a) NT then we might very well be looking at Dan Williams with our 1st pick.

some of these athletes come off surgery, and make the choice to speed their recovery with "performance enhancing substances." ... it's a risk, and they can get caught.... To some, it's worth the risk, so they can be on that field, and get that one last contract.

Let's be honest, I think the FO and most of us all knew he was done once we knew he tore an ACL. At his age and size, it would be nothing short of a miracle if his knee held up for an entire season. I guarantee Ireland's board has just about every NT in the draft rated. He won't reach due to need, instead take one when the value is there. Last year was real thin on NTs but this year there are a few more options available and that has to be one position we planned on taking a shot at. I wouldn't be suprised to see a Day One pick used as well as a later rond pick for insurance purposes.

 

I completely agree. they should have been moving on from Fergie since he went down. I would be happy with Williams or Cam Thomas in the draft
