Eric Kumerow was pretty bad too. Especially with the way Rozelle announced it.
He begins with: Dolphins select, linebacker from Ohio State... and immediately many fans are like, "oh boy, we're getting Chris Spielman". Then to hear him end up with the name Eric Kumerow...talk about taking the wind out our sails.

our whole 06 draft should be thrown out. would have been better off not showing up and picking 6 players the day after the draft ended basing them off how cool their last names were.

Fletcher over Brees and Moore over Boldin were much, much worse IMO. Not even close. Ginn actually has value these two are not even NFL caliber players of value. I'm not sure why people torture themselves over past draft picks, there will always be a woulda, coulda shoulda on draft days 3 or so years after the draft. Brady would have been the #1 overall pick if people knew what they knew now, Warner wasn't even drafted was he? It happens, wasting time hand-wringing and crying is pointless. Particularly when the people that drafted Ginn are long gone. When you spill milk you clean it up and get a new glass.

If the draft was an easy, no mistake process that took no thought and had no risk it wouldn't be the exciting thing that it is. Enjoy it for what it is.

Not even close...the worst draft move ever by the Fins was Eddie Moore over Anquan Boldin...always is and always will be the absolute worst draft move ever....thanks again for reminding me...now I have to go throw up...

Eddie Moore would have been a bad decision if the option was him or four cans of tuna and a bus pass.

Over Randy Moss, He could have given Marino new life.

But I think Jamar Fletecher(over Brees) and Eddie Moore(over Fitz) were crappier than Avery over Moss.

I kinda think looking back into the past at who we should have drafted instead of who we did draft....

Is kinda the worst mistake ever.

The top 5 I'd understand but are you saying Long and Davis haven't produced yet?

Why does every thread have to necessarily start a "good discussion?" Unlike many of you Phin phans who look at the world through teal and orange glasses, I am a realist. The problem many clubs make, including the Phins, is they fail to learn from their mistakes. They continually reach for players like Ted Ginn hoping he might develop into something great. What's wrong with discussing the past?, especially since many of younger guys were not even around when Marino was here, and you cannot remember the good years.

the worst mistake of that year was hiring the guy that picked ginn.cam brought us to 1-15 with better talent then a 1-15 team.wasnt ginns fault he was drafted 9 overall.wasn't ginns fault a dynamic returner was selected to be molded into a #1 reciever.sure it wouldve helped if ginn had produced even half of what he was thought to but that still probly puts us at winning 4 or 5 games.and it's not ginn's fault he is still the #reciever on this team.
