I do not know that much about him, but from what I have been reading here, it sounds like a good deal. I do have a question for the draft guru's out there if this signing goes through. Which direction do you think we should go with the first pick? I would still think we go OLB or S. You can never have enough defense and I do not think Bryant will be there for our pick.
If he's taking a physical isn't that like the precursor to him signing a contract? It sounds to me that him signing is not very far off.
As I posted in the other Clark thread. I am not too convinced about this move. Correct me if I am wrong but I think that Clark was the SS in Pittsburg and Palomalu was the FS. Aren't we making the same mistake here in trying to sign another SS and sticking him in the FS stop as we did with Wilson last year. Someone who is more familiar with the Steelers please help me with this and let me know if I am right in regards to how Clark was used in that system and if he is suited for the FS vacancy in our defense.
In a quarter scheme like ours, even though we do run a little of everything, we are always more likely to sign a big hitter that can stuff the run over a ballhawk at Safety. When sitting in our base version of quarters it's like a 9 in the box defense.
Troy is their SS. I'm pretty happy with this move. We're fixing spots that killed us last year and I'm excited for the draft.
Anything you saw on D last yr is probably going to be gone. The system Nolan runs compared to Pasq other than both being a 3-4 are vastly different.
Im pretty excited about this potential signing. Vocal leader on D, could really help step up the production from the younger dudes.
Maybe he was in town and decided to take a stroll @ the Dolphins facilities, check everything out, get to know some people, talk football, maybe take a physical... you know, nothing serious.
i wish we had this kind of coverage when dansby was here visiting.wierd how for one guy it's hush hush and the next we know everytime he blinks his eyes.
im referring to him taking the physical and not having been announced as signing the contract. In other words I am assuming they are close with maybe one or two minor disagreements, but it is likely he will sign.
Yep, Antrel Rolle did the same thing with the Giants so hopefully some time tonight we'll get word he signed.
If he took a physical without an "agreement" it's simple: There is a slight issue with length agreed upon in the contract or something minor.
Clark is a guy with medical issues, so it's not uncommon to hold off on the announcement until after the physical.
I just read in the other thread that he was cleared to play in Denver. But back on topic, that would still likely mean that our doctors would have to complete the physical before anything was announced.
