My next two threads might seem like a Sirius Satellite Radio "plug" more than anything. But I find "NFL radio" to be the best league wide analysis on the market. They manage to cover everything from "head to toe" that is NFL and they do a damn good job of it.

Solomon Wilcots is on NFL radio and he just happened to cover the game versus Buffalo. If you are not familiar with Solomon Wilcots click here for a brief bio. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solomon_Wilcots If you are not familiar with the TV analysts access, I'll give you the short version. They can request somewhere near five players to interview prior to each game. It is their preparation time. They fly in on Friday and interview on Saturday among other things......

The purpose of all of this is to clear some things up that the S. Florida media are vague in reporting. According to Solomon Wilcots on Mondays radio show -

He was asked directly about the effort. He said the Dolphins have not quit. He said, "I looked down and I saw Jason Taylor playing hard. I saw Jason Allen playing hard. I saw all of them playing hard." He continued with some comments that we already know: "They are not a very talented team to begin with. They have 12 guys on IR and Zach Thomas hasn't played in 11 games."

Wilcots said that Keith Traylor's questioning "Who wants to win" was directly related to John Beck in the starting role. Cleo Lemon is the best quarterback on the roster. Why is he not playing? Wilcots made it clear that this was not a condemnation of the rookies play or practice habits. It was directly related to "he is a rookie and he will play like a rookie."

Wilcots interviewed Vonnie Holliday and inquired as to what he thought of the coaching. Holliday said that Cameron had been "solid as a rock" in his approach. "He has not changed since the preseason." Wilcots said that some of the veterans "didn't like still being in pads. Cameron spoke to some veterans on the issue and they relented. Cameron convinced them that it was better for the younger guys to remain in pads." Wilcots said, "Cameron has met them in the middle by sendings the veterans home early. He tells them to leave the facility, get off their feet, and rest."

Now this is me asking you. Was that so hard? Why is it that the Miami media can't report like the national guy?

Ever consider that they might be more candid with a local reporter, who is around everyday and that they know personally rather than a national guy who is going to repeat everything they've told him on national television. Ever notice how Salguero's or Omar Kelly's columns never name names? People are more open when they are promised anonimity. What is Holliday going to tell Wilcotts? That he thinks Cam blows and is a moron? Think vonnie wants that coming out on a national broadcast and then on the Afternoon Blitz?

Do you mean something like when Keith Traylor says "I'm trying to say this where you don't f**k this up."

You mean like that? Cause that was in one of their blogs. I couldn't believe they actually put it in there. Traylor called him a clown and he printed it. You mean like that?

The media will twist words for the most part. That's why most of the media is a joke, they twist words around to get a story. That's a horrible thing to do, but in journalism, that's how you make a living. People don't always want honesty... they want to hear what they want to hear. They'll believe what they want to believe. So being everyone is upset about the 0-13 Dolphins, their going to try to spew their story so it affects someone on the Miami roster in a negative way. It's just how it works...

LOL at Holliday saying Cam is "solid as a rock" and "has not changed since preseason" that does not sound like a real compliment considering our record....
