    streak. ended.

quinn has 3 picks. steve smith randomly fumbles after a 30+ yard gain and the giants of course house it. my rookies had good games.....saint my 1st round TE had 90+ yards and a td.....my FS morrison had 5+ tackles and a pick.

giants run game is nasty. good stuff.

    31-28 giants over panthers

Ohh, thats who Saints is. Your rookie TE. I'm thinking am I not up to date in the NFL lol.

Sick, looks like the trade worked out for both of us. Boley got a one handed pick, Stewart averaged like 5+ yards a carry. He would've had 100 yards but he got injured.

Thank God for Terrel Thomas! I started him over Chris in this game, and he comes away with two picks. Youth prevails.

Well, I did beat you Alex. And you beat BPK twice, yet BPK beat me last year( game didn't count, and I won the simmed game). Madden is a game where the most determined one wins, I guess.

It was five rushing yards, thank you. heh If we play again I don't think I'd fare quite as well, defense played out of its mind and doubt you struggle on offense like that again.

But yeah, Madden is a funny thing and I'm always trying to think ok I beat X, and they beat Y, but lost to Z. With Sick winning almost all his league games and Ashraf winning today I would be feeling real good, except I played Sick in an online game today (Phins vs Broncos) and lost that one. I do like my Jaguars in the franchise more than the Dolphins online though.

My guess is, at least one of those picks came trying to force the ball to your new mancrush, Adam Saint. You are in love with him.

    lol.

Dude, I knew Saint would have a huge game, but to throw THREE picks AND lose a fumble and not get ANY hitstick fumbles of your own? Well, that's just UN-Sick. lol.

Weird, cuz I have more trouble with Sick than Ashraf (meaning I lose to both, but can occasionally beat Raffie. I never beat Chris/Sick/Failhorn/Manwithamillionnames)

I think Sick has my number. Raffie and I are a little more even, or I tend to get ahead of him more often.

Though, Raffie, if we met this year, with my pared-down roster and your steroidal backfield I think you'd have the advantage.

Starry and the Jags are my darkhorse Superbowl pick in the AFC. The second place AFC team, imo, is the Browns. Yep, I said it. Rookie Superbowl MVP for Jack English IF he can beat the Jags.

Otherwise it will be a the Jags hoisting the Lombardi.

    You heard it here first.

In the NFC, the way is unclear. I am not making any prediction pending the outcome of head-to-head matchups between Arizona, Atlanta, New Orleans and Carolina. Those are the teams to beat, imo.

Right now my money would be on Arizona to surprise people.

By the way, SICK, rumors around Charlotte are that the veterans in the lockeroom are grumbling about the Head Coach's decision to start Quinn this year. This has gotten worse after his three interception outing and loss to the Giants.

Delhomme's not giving interviews, probably under gag order.

    You live up there.

    What gives?

Yeah, I'm looking forward to the Browns and Saints game too.

 I like the love BpK, but you did just doom me to lose in my first playoff game, thanks. I would start making some predictions, but so many new players I'd like to see a few more games. Something interesting to watch will be the AFC West. Could one of the new teams take over the division and surprise people in the playoffs? Or will the Chiefs put an end to that? I play every AFC West team so let you know in a few weeks lol. In the NFC don't forget the Lions just because they're a rival BpK.

Update my Cell # to be 202-631-6173 (for text message this 202# is better...but the 240 from a voice standpoint (and voicemail) rolls over to this 202 so that # is still ok for voice calls.

I just dont carry the 240 phone, only the 202 with me.

email is still best for me since I get all those accounts on my 202 phone.

The Seahawks fell to the Cardinals 31-17 but let me assure you the game was much closer than that.

Down 17-24 with about 10 seconds left in the game 4th down from the 5 yard line Hasselback tossed a perfect pass to a crossing Ted Ginn err...Calvin Johnson who promptly had it hit both hands and dropped the ball in the end zone to turn the ball over on downs.

At that point with the game over the Hawks defense stood there dumbfounded as Wells burst through the line with five seconds left and rumbled 95 yards for a TD.

Three plays changed this game for the worse:

1 - After a 4th down stand in the first quarter I threw an interception on the subsequent drive which gave the Cards a 37 yard field and they scored on the next play.
2 - The kickoff after the TD from #1 my kick returner fumbled the ball and it was picked up and returned for a TD
3 - The 4th down end zone drop by Johnson.

I'm not saying that I would have won the game if not for those three plays but damn.

lol yeah when it rains it pours. I was up by 7 points with 2 plays to go in the first half...the next 4 plays were as such....

-Hester KR to opponents 25, fumble. I recover
    -Throw a pick....end quarter
-Kick off to phinomenal who returns it 99 yards for a TD...tied
-Hester KR to my 30 where he's hit, fumbles, and it's returned for a TD...down by 7

    Crazy game :)

English lesson gives way to a simple Math Test

In their 2nd straight MNF prime time performance – this one in the Dog Pound, following last weeks road victory over Baltimore, your Cleveland Browns (4-0) showed that its not about which subject you master, its about focusing on the elementary basics. History, Language Arts, and of course English, every once in a while take a back seat to simple math. Creating 6 Turnovers (5 INT, 1 Fumble Recovery) while doing your best to protect the ball and control the time of possession with a heavy rushing attack lead by, Ol’ Grandmama, Larry Johnson, will more often than not, lead to a victory. That was the case winning out over Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints securing their 4th win, in a 52-45 victory, as the Browns controlled the ball for over 17minutes out of 28.

Young Jack English, coming off a Player of the game performance last week, seemed to rush several throws and was off on his early reads and timing, leading to 3 INTs of his own. “Credit goes to the Saints D, said the English-man, The Stanford grad, and #1 pick in last years NFL draft stated, “I watched more film to prepare for them and they still jumped in an out of looks all game that had me guessing a couple times; I would have been real nervous if not for knowing I had LJ to hand the ball off to…he is a beast”.

LJ is of course Larry Johnson (152yds on 19 carries) – and yes, 2 rushing TDs (33yds and 69yds jaunts) on his first two carries show that indeed he is a beast. Johnson, who added a 3rd TD with a catch out of the backfield, was a key offseason trade acquisition from KC. Acquired to compliment, currently injured, James Harrison (2 games away from returning) however, since Harrsion’s injury, Johnson has stepped up to a starting roll and shows the younger backs how to conduct yourself once the whistle blows. Johnson likes getting the ball; "oh, yeah, early and often, let me touch that little piggy". Harrison’s return will provide the added comfort to this upgraded run game. 159 rushing yards all total for the Browns gives fans and critics alike something to chew on, and Mr. English, (14 of 21 for 220yds) even with those 3 picks, had a 94.3 rating and 2 TDs. Spreading the ball to 8 different receivers, including a big leaping TD over the middle by B. Robiskie helped tally the totals, so was being 8 out of 10 on 3rd down conversions.

And those 6 turnovers created by the young Browns defense, what led to that? Well, during the game, this reporter noticed that CLE came out in a 3-4 defense for the first time all season (rumor is it could be the only game all year and CLE will go back to the 4-3 staple look) regardless, it did enough to disquise their intent. Clearly, the 3-4 look seems to have confused Drew Brees, and Sean Payton’s play calling – and that was the goal. Following several picks, you could see Brees get angrier and angrier to his HC/playcaller, and his receivers. Settting the Defensive tone for the Browns, was E. Wright (Player of the Game) with 3 picks, one returned for TD, but equally important were the two 1st Quarter INTs from rookie 2nd round draft pick D. Virges, both creating 14 points and providing J. English and the team some breathing room.

Wright stated, “it’s been a long time since we have had this much speed and talent comprised of the other 10 guys around me. It’s a pleasure to show up and see the weight room, and film room full of guys at 5am on our days off. We enjoy dining out, playing video games, and just busting on each other. What we all say, is when we come out of that tunnel and hear our fans, well, that type of excitement, that feeling, it hasn’t been around here for quite a while. I love it - I love that I get to share it with these young guys.”

Well, all of Cleveland loves it too!
