Im a fan of the idea of hiring Parcells more as the coach than GM only,
however do you honestly think Bill Cowher could coexsist with Parcells these are two of footballs greatest coaches talents like that dont work together trying to hire both would be a bigger mistake than hiring Cam Cameron.

I don't want Parcells, but this statement is false. He didn't bail on any of them, in fact he made them all contenders for their time. The jets made the AFC championship game with him, the Giants won a super bowl, the Pats made it to a super bowl, and even tho he's not there right now, he clearly built that cowboys team from the ground up and look at them now, they just might make it to the super bowl. I almost feel bad for Parcells in some regard cause if he had Garrett calling his plays last year that team would have probably made it further.

A guy like Parcells is only hired to be around 4-5 years, that's all he wants to do and thats all any team should expect from him. he's there to rebuild the team, cut the whiners, and train the pros. He does that, and he does it well.

if parcells is interested in being the GM then you have to give it to him, parcells loves Jason Garrett as the next big time head coach, parcells has said so, i would haven o problem with garrett

Is that ever going to happen? Right now it'd be too much of an embarassment if Wayne were to hire Tuna. The amount of time they spent interviewing candidates for HC, only to have 0-13 happen. Wayne and Randy will not blame Cam for this. There are what 11 players on IR? That's where the blame will fall...and who knows...maybe that's where it should fall. If Green doesn't go down, if Ronnie's still playing...who knows what could've happened. I know it's probably difficult to accept, but Cam's here to stay for now...at least until he repeats this next season.

TUNA FISH (it just makes too much sense)

Bill Parcells and the Dolphins. Why it just makes too much sense.

    GIANTS:

Within 2 years, the Giants posted only their second winning season in a decade, and within 3 years from when he began coaching, Parcells took the Giants to their first back to back playoff appearances.

The next year, they went 14-2 and won the Superbowl. They'd go on to beat the Bills in 1990 in the Superbowl as well. That was a great win because the Giants were depleted with injuries and STILL managed to beat the "unstoppable" bills. He'd retire after this due to health concerns.

    NEW ENGLAND:

Within two years of coaching, he brought New England to their first playoff appearance in 8 years. The next year, he brought them to the Superbowl and lost to the Packers.

He left New England because of disagreements with Bob Kraft on his personel.

    NEW YORK JETS:

His first year as coach, he shattered the losing seasons under Rich Kotite (4-28) and brought New York to 9-7, just barely missing the playoffs. The next year, the Jets went to the playoffs and lost to the eventual superbowl winners, Denver, in the AFC Championship game.

The next year, due to significant injuries including his starting QB Vinnie Testaverde, the Jets went 8-8 and Parcells retired for the second time.

    DALLAS COWBOYS:

The Cowboys posted 3 5-11 seasons before Jerry Jones lured the Tuna back into coaching. In his first year, he led the Cowboys to the playoffs with a 10-6 record. He would be the first head coach to lead 4 different teams (and only have head coached 4 teams as well) to the playoffs. The next year wasn't so great, and because of injuries and losing their starting QB to drug use, they fell to 6-10 (still better than 0-16 if you ask me)

The next year they revamped their team and improved to 9-7, missing the playoffs by one game.

Last year, they'd end up going to the playoffs and losing to Seattle with a botched field goal attempt.

Now the Cowboys are the best team in the NFC, built off a team the Tuna built.

The reasons for his retirement from the Cowboys are speculative at best. There is one report that Parcells wanted a higher salary, and Jerry Jones (after spending so much money on FA talent) didn't believe Parcells was worth it. But look at what their team had become. If Tuna stayed one more year, he'd have surely gotten that raise.

Why does it make so much sense?

Not only has he turned around every pro football team he's coached on, but within two years in each case he's brought them to the playoffs. He's got the experience of taking sub par teams and making them winnners.

Also, he's had experience coaching in the AFC East. Half the teams he's coached have been here (while the other half have been in the NFC East. Guess he likes the Eastern Divisions)

And finally, I mean come on. The slogans write themselves. TUNA FISH? If everyone is gonna call us Fish anyways, it might as well be in context of one of the best coaches of our time.

I think thats the best idea I have heard here yet. I say let the Tuna be the GM and hire Marty as the coach! The tuna knows how to draft and he knows how to draft quarterbacks too. I would love to see this!

I dont know about Marty as the HC. Marty ball is a bit too conservative as far as play calling goes. Run Run Pass Punt. Sounds a lot like Wanny Ball.

Though Marty would have the drive to win a Superbowl. He's yet to do it, and its his claim to infamy. I bet he'd work his butt off to make sure he'd retire a SB winner.
