I still want to give Ginn one more season. An entire off season working with Henne could be what he needs to get going. Also, him just being on the field makes defenses have to think about him, and that allows Bess to do his thing underneath and Hartline do his thing on the other side.

So, no, it's not a popular opinion around here, but I'm willing to give Ted one more chance here.

I'm willing to let the coaches make the call
but I think if anyone offers a reasonable trade
or forth round pick GinnJr is gone & good riddance

the guy is just not cut out for the NFL
speed is the first thing to fade over a career
if he loses a step, he loses all utility
& this is an inevitability, think about it
    :escape:

my only concern is for our team. I like GinnJr. I think is a a decent human, just not a football player

good article. just laid out why sparano and ireland havent given up on the guy like some fans have. its why he's getting that 4th year instead of the standard three

I agree, both on the article and your comments about Teddy's 4th year. Ted reminds me of another WR named Martin. Another converted player that Shula/Fans gave up on and then went to the Chargers and had a great career. What is most telling is that Dan never wanted to see him go and was the main reason he was brought back by JJ. I wonder if Henne feels the same and if so will this FO listen?

Thats pretty much is going to happen. He'll land with a team that already has a solid number 1 and only going to ask Ted to go deep.

What do you consider hot peppers? I can eat 20 jalapenos. IN fact I do, for lunch with my carne asada burrito.

20 thai chiles, now that's something altogether different ...

I don't think so JS, Ginn is still a young guy, iirc he just turned 24, and he does offer the ability to be a top 5 guy in all purpose yardage and he can get deep, just ask Darrele Revis, so why would he be leaving "next year"?

Good enough that Sparano wants to keep him.
Good enough that Parcells wants to keep him.
Good enough that Ireland wants to keep him.
Good enough that Marino thinks we should keep him.

Is there some football knowledge disconnect here?

and the fact he wasnt even starting/playing alot of this season with a horrible WR corps full of UDFAs and late round draft picks?

Ginn has 10 totals TDs in 3 years. (3.34 per year)
Parrish has 10 total TDs in 5 years. (2.00 per year)

Ginn has 128 recs in 3 years. (42.67 per year)
Parrish has 100 rec in 5 years. (20.00 per year)

    Ginn avgs 13.0 ypc.
    Parrish avgs 10.9 ypc.

Sounds like Parrish is a poor mans Ginn.

The Wr corps was horrible in your view Sick?

I thought they were good, not great, and I thought Hartline shined when given a chance, Bess continued his development and Greg C did not drop a single ball.

In my view Greg C could catch 100 passes a yr in the right offense.

As for Ginn, imho he should not be playing alot, he is a #3 Wr who is a elite kick returner, imho he showed what he was this year.

Parcells, Ireland and Sparano, yes. But Marino doesn't owe him anything.

I'm not saying he's Jerry Rice. I'm talking about keeping him for next season.

I think Ginn was sat in the middle of a season to try to rebuild him... he started to play a lot more at the beginning and end of the season. I think he'll be given one more shot in Miami to see how he fares. I don't think money is the reason why he's given another shot either.

You think our receiving corps is "horrible"?

Bess and Hartline are both pretty damn good receivers if I say so myself. Neither may be a number 1 but both can make plays consistently. And both did just that last year.

    Camarillo is no slouch either.

I've always thought our receiving corps was much better than people gave them credit for, and I still believe that. These guys may not be stars but they made some big plays all year long.

I honestly don't get where all the hate comes from.

i think......its all opinion from both ends (mine and yours) we dont know why he was benched for sure. but he was. everyone knows my stance on ginn, if he does good, we do good. so ill root for him. i want to upgrade him big time. but who doesnt?
