Not after 2:30. A girl on the production team of a play that I'm working on had her grandmother pass away Friday night, so I had to fill in on Saturday and tomorrow. I could play late tonight but I'm not sure what time I'll be home, or tomorrow night or any other night this week for that matter. Either that or Sick can kick me, you play the game, and I join up afterwards.

Yea, that pick was pretty lucky, and it was perfect timing. And I know I got lucky a other times when your defenders dropped like 3 picks.

Your blitzing is what changed the game for me. All you kept doing was blitzing, and I didn't realize that until the 3rd quarter. So I just used simple plays like having my running back ran out to the flats. I stayed patient, waited for him to get open, and dumped it off to him. Then when I saw you respecting my passing game, I switched to the run game lol.

The first time I went for it on 4th and 7, I had to. You had so much momentum.

Since we have so many people in this league we seriously need to impose the time limits to get these games played.

where we get a problem though is the case in point of alex ready to play whenever.......but his opponent cant. the only way to move forward is to sim the game, and if alex's team loses because of a sim, it isnt fair....since he wanted to play the game.

Id have to boot the player not able to play, and then invite him again.

if thats what daphins wants...ill do it.

If we're the last game I'm down with booting and re-inviting. With 22 players in a league this will happen. Emergencies come up, people have vacation, I have no problem with it. We were both there to play 2 days ago but my connection was awful. If there's another game Waiting to play then we can hold out, if we're holding the show up, kick me and let ihim play the computer, it's really no biggie.

I think that's the equitable answer in these situations as long as both sides of the story are heard.

It's a slippery slope because what if the person that is online only proposes odd hours that the other person can't possibly make.

That being said it's going to take a long time to get through each week if the league waits on everybody everytime.

Yeah stuff happens. Again sorry about everything that went down, kind of immature stuff that doesn't belong here.

I'll wait as long as we're allowed for you to be able to play. I'd really just hate to be simmed.

I haven't heard back from RV at all when I tried to set something up for this weekend. I guess we'll just have to settle for a simulation because I'm not sure when he gets on. And he hasn't logged onto PSN in like 6 days.

I sent him an email just in case he happens to be around now. If not, I guess we'll have to settle for a sim. Either way I think he wins because I still haven't totally figured out the Rams and that ATL team is crazy good.

We played. I was half asleep and his text woke me up. Phone on full volume saves the day.

I ended up winning 31-10 but it was a lot closer than that. His only TD was a kick return, but he really moved the ball well against me a few times. He just had some bad luck. A fumble, an interception at the wrong time. He was down 21-10 in the third quarter going in for a score when he turned it over once. Also I made a nice goal line stand on his first possession holding him to 3 points.

He really stopped me from picking up chunk yardage in the passing game, but luckily for me Kevin Smith had a career day with over 175 yards.

    It's in the books.

Despite the score it was actually a pretty good game.

It was a day of trying to tackle Kevin Smith who broke 3-4 on a long run outside to start the game. I've decided to use the hit stick at all times. I usually play with the "better safe than sorry" meantality as the hit stick can make you miss, but who cares if you can't bring 'em down? Those were straight up tackles (not trying to strip) and he wiggled free all game :P

Then I drove to his 1 where he put on a goal line stance and held me to a FG.

Traded blows for a little bit until right before the half when Hester (I) took a crack on a PR that he fumbled and returned for a TD (2nd game in a row, i have to start calling Fair Catch earlier, game just doesn't always get it in in time). Which evened out when Hester returned the ensuing kick off for a TD.

He ALMOST scored on a dink pass that went to my 6 or 7 with 6 seconds left but I caught him with a shoe string tackle to end the half.

Second half opened with me making a VERY ill advised throw, some more playing. I was down by like 10 or so with 6 minutes left when I fumbled on his 30 or so which pretty much sealed up the game for him.

Good Game all around, my O was moving, my D was solid outside of the little issue of tackeling :P

I didnt know whether to laugh or cry after that play. That was a great sequence of three huge plays in a row for us. I didn't even see anyone close to me, I thought he was gone, then I just see him falling.

I've had a couple of games like that where you just can't catch a break and 2-3 plays go different and the outcome changes.

Some games just feel unjust, this one was actually pretty good minus the two long runs off of bad tackeling. The pick was my fault, sucked to lose the fumble. It he got to my QB. All in a can't really complain as there wasn't a heavy computer tilt in either direction. I actually got a coue of holding calls go my way which I find to be absolutely rubbish.

Those holding calls seem to only trigger for me after a great play. It's friggin deflating.

I don't know if you saw it earlier in this thread but I've played two human games this season and had a disconnect in both and ended up losing both subsequent games badly after having really good starts to both original games.

Holding and False Starts are the worst. It's like the CPU hates you for no reason. I'm not talking about False Starts from pressing R1 over and over. 'm talking about False Starts for no F'n reason.

I felt pretty good about what I did on defense. In fact I think it was a pretty good chess match.

You'd do something, I'd adjust, then you'd adjust, then I'd adjust again. It was actually fun playing defense.

OK, we played and it was a better game than I thought it would be. 17-14 ATL Wins.

After spotting ATL 7 points by fumbling the opening KO, I thought I was toast! No video, Madden didn't have it for some reason. :(
Then Steven Jackson goes beast mode with this huge run. <video here>.
Couple of series back and forth and I was able to cap a drive off with this pass to Avery. <video here>
RV was able to respond by throwing it to TJ. <video here>
RV later was able to take the 3 point lead with a chip shot FG.
And he sealed the victory by stopping Bulger's 2 minute offense with this timely pick. <video here>.

Looks like that was a good game Rams and Falcons. Some really great games for week 7.

Just noticed we have a new user in the league, b00g1E_p0p who took the Colts. Welcome to the league and AFC South, I'm the Jaguars.

The Dirty Birds showed off a lot rust on the field today. A timely opening kick off fumble was the only saving grace for this poor lack luster play by The Birds. R. White summed it up after the game when he said, "We played like S*$T out there! We didn't run our offense. We were totally out of sync. Nothin' worked man! I'm glad to be 5 and 0 but if we play like this next week then we will get our a$$es handed to us. Credit the Rams, they played well and they worked hard covering me and TJ."

It looks like the additions of Winfield and TJ worked well as they recorded an interception and touchdown respectively. Losing Gonzalez hurt the Dirty Birds as Matt Ryan posted a 65% passer rating on 12 of 26. Matt Ryan told the Atlanta Chronicle, "Our passing game was off. We didn't read the blitzs well and they broke up a few of our plays. Give them credit they have a good defense but at the same time we just didn't play our game. We were good enough to win and we just have to work our new players into our system. Losing one of our leaders out there hurt us and I have to step it up and be more vocal. We lost some weapons but we gained some new ones too, and we need add a wrinkle or two with TJ out there. We owe it to our fans, so hopefully they can watch us next week and we can give them a better showing on the road. The Lions look tough but we are looking forward to the challenge. We have to show up and we have to play Falcons football and I think we'll be fine."

    Box Score
    07 ATL RAMS 0 1st Qtr
    14 ATL RAMS 14 2nd Qtr
    14 ATL RAMS 14 3rd Qtr
    17 ATL RAMS 14 Final

I got lucky on that first TD. I mean he broke like 15 tackles on that play  I'd love to take the credit but for whatever reason he was just running like a madman.
