It really makes me wonder if it isn't all for naught and the FO is sitting back laughing at us all because we've fallen for the smokescreen they put up. I mean it's so blatantly obvious to pretty much everyone we need a #1 but everytime the FO responds the boards erupt over the audacity of them saying they are happy with the recievers we have or whatever the quote of the day is. Thats my wishful thinking anyway
Well that makes me feel a lot better about the FO neglecting such a glaring need... the development of Patrick Turner and PAT WHITE as well as strong acquisitions Pruit & Grice-Mullen.
I havent heard anything that they were moving him to wR. I know that he has been demoted until he improves as a QB. sounds to me your jumping to conclusions.
Oh, so now I'm not allowed to share my opinon? Sorry if it hurt your feelings, but your constant crying for a Wide Receiver and bashing of the FO is almost as bad as KP bashing JT.
That's where your wrong, Imo. How are you not impressed? We were 1-15 two years ago. Just two. The turnaround of our franchise is remarkable. And just because they didn't do it your way, doesn't mean it isn't.
It's their call. They tried addressing it last year, and so far it hasn't worked out. Maybe they'll try again this draft. maybe they won't. We'll see.
I'm not a fan of Dorrell as of yet. He bombed in UCLA and I still dont quite get how he came here. i dont get the connection. To me this is is his bubble year as much as some players on our roster. I dont blame him for Turner right now. Beating press coverage and running sharp routes sometimes take a year to get down. We'll see how our young receivers play next year as a whole
Didn't say I was annoyed. Just sharing my opinion, which apparently I'm not allowed to do. Only if you go back to your retirement home
Ok......I apologize for that last remark. Being older I should have set a better example than that. Here's the thing raffie..... You're telling me that you were only trying to share your opinion and complaining because you're not allowed. Well how do you think I feel when you jump in start taking shots at me for stating mine? And you did take shots at me..... If my posts bother you so much, there's an ignore feature. I'm hoping you choose differently, but it's there if need be
ah dont mind him. he's just going through a midlife crisis. trying to fit in with all the cool kids who think the game is all about receivers now. Meanwhile he's listening to Foghat while he types
Very obvious too most. Danny Amendola > Davone Bess in 2010 Ofcourse I hope they both have 1200 yards recieving and 10 td's.
lmfao. and what did welker do in miami that bess isnt? put bess in a spread offense with randy moss and tom brady and he puts up the same numbers as welker. (isnt it odd they dont miss that much of a beat with a college qb playing wr in the nfl for the first time in his life filling in for welker??)
I wasn't trying to come at you, though. If it came out that way, sorry. All I said was I think your obesession with the WR position is funny. We say the same things to KP.
Okay....now we can add Amendola hater to your Ginn hater status. Bess and Welker shouldnt even be in the same discussion, the system no doubt helps Wes but you cant discount his ability to DESTROY zone coverages, his quickness, his RAC skills...his punt return skills... If people want to call Bess a poor mans Welker thats fine, but to think the only thing seperating them is the system they play in is looney tunes.
That has been a big problem for me. Sparano is too conservative with playing his young guys. If he'd had his way Henne would just be starting this coming season and we'd have no idea what he could do. If he'd had any other option he'd have sat Hartline an entire year. It seems Sparano's method involves drafting a talented young guy, bringing him up slowly behind a veteran mentor and turning him loose a year or two down the line. It can be frustrating to watch. You pick up a talented guy like Wake and then hardly use him when your team could use his strengths. Whoever he drafts in the first round that player will be expected by the fans to hit the field the first year. Especially if it's a position of need like Dez Bryant at WR or Eric Berry or Earl Thomas at safety. We pick up Dez Bryant and Sparano tries to sit on him a year the fans will go nuts.
Parcells was 32-32 in his 4 years as a Patriot Parcells was 8-8 with his last season with the Jets Parcells last 3 seasons in Dallas were 6-10,9-7,9-7 Parcells hasn't won a superbowl in 20 seasons With all that said he has made strides with this team even though we regressed last season...my only problem is the lack of playmakers on this team Hopefully things will turn around and we can be more productive with our 2nd and third round picks this season
Im not all that dissapointed in our 2nd and 3rd rounders in this regime's tenure are you? I mean ofcourse the Pat White pick is meh..but ya know.
Play nice bro. We all know you want a wr...to a degree i think every dolphin fan acknowledges its a need. Its just a matter of where we prioritize it. Not everyone will agree with my opinion or yours. You are, old people just get grumpy sometimes Yeah but at each of those stops he spent at least 2 years rebuilding franchises that were in an awful state. The record accumulated during his tenure isnt reflective of what he did to turn each of those franchises around. Parcells teams have never prioritized wr's. They find guys who will block and catch but arent big play guys. The last time a Parcells led team selected a wr in round one that he actually wanted was Stephen Baker for the Giants back in 1985 (since the Glenn pick was dont by the GM and he did not want "her"). I do think we will see another wr picked this draft but Im not sure we should plan on it being in round 1 or 2 given this regime's affinity for linebackers and our needs at FS.
Middle age approaches you as we speak;] Me and raf, that's situation was squashed And Parcells liked Pat White.....all bets are off
Baker was a 3rd rounder in 1987. Stacy Robinson was taken in 1985, but in the 2nd. The only 1st rounder he took with the Giants, was Mark Ingram in '87. One could also argue that George Young had the final say so on all the draft picks and Parcells only offered his input.
In his second year he had a pretty darn good year. Let's not forget that. Our passing as a whole suffered last year, not just Ginn. Bess had a solid year but was putting balls on the ground. Hartline had a good year, but so did Bess, Ginn and Cam under their first years with Dorrell. It's the second year with Dorrell that seems to cause trouble We went from 10th to 20th in passing, and it was all Ginn's fault I'm assuming. Nothing to do with the system, at all.
