So who is the terrible reporter who initially reported this? How do we go from getting pulled over because he didn't signal on a lane change to nearly avoiding hitting and oncoming car? It just doesn't make sense, because it's a complete 180.

The two of you rant and rave about ppl being obsessed over a player and fail to see that it's just a reaction to the way you both go over board in your versions of "just being honest"

The info coming out was inconclusive.....that leads to speculation, it's as simple as that.

And as soon as his ankle heels, Ronnie Brown causing havoc for defenses again

Well it's interesting, we went from Ronnie's god to Ronnie ****ed up.

All people live a life and we all fail at some point. Many sports men and women are in the spotlight, and there lives are under a microscope IMO. Now the key is to learn from your mistakes! I hate this happened, i have been freaked out since I heard this ( i had a DWI). I hope he learns that the most important thing is fixing the mistakes. The man has done so much good in life that has to count. We all make mistakes. I won't write him off yet.

Lets hope we all could be better, but don't bash a man that makes one mistake, but unfortunetly he is now on my radar. If he fails again it may be a problem

Sheesh...I can almost feel the giddyness from those who seem to have some ax to grind about Ronnie.

That's the kind of crap that needs to stay on the old site.

Ronnie f-ed up. It's sad, and he's lucky to not hurt himself or anyone else. However, we've all made mistakes I'm sure we're not proud of.

Do you see me jumping in every single time you rant and rave, ***** and moan about the FO and how bad they are for not going out and getting you a WR. no i dont because i do my best to give my opinions instead of running around playing internet policeman and targeting certain members. you sir have an obsession with me. im not sure what your problem is but last i checked you are not a mod or anyone really special here. you seem to think you can play a parent role or something with me and sorry cap'n its not working so back the fugg off.

All of this: Ronnie's fall from "Grace" coming on the heels of Big Ben's feely touchy "I DID NOT have sex with that woman in the men's room stall." and the difference in the comments concerning the two different acts are apalling imho.

While Ronnie is STOOPID for not taking a cab because he sure has enough money to get one, I don't remember even one poster EVER suggesting that Ben was just as STOOPID for not getting a high priced whore rather than messing with a very young and naive college girl. Who I remind you is somebodys daughter, sister, and one day mother so the reports to the Almost missing a car in the other lane versus the original charge while gleeful to some is not to me. Plus adding Ted Ginn and/or his family to this debate only points in one direction and is at the very least silly and at the worst .........!

Ronnie at least up until now has been an Angel compared to the likes of others on this team and compared to players of other teams including the afore named SB QB I would be more likely to trust my daughter with RB than little Ben.

I love how a lot of people just assume he is a great guy that made a mistake because this is the first time he was CAUGHT driving drunk. Makes me wonder how many times he's put peoples lives in danger and not gotten caught. I would be willing to bet this wAsn't his first dwi experience. Just the first time he was busted for it.

He made a stupid mistake and he should really pay for it.

He'll pay for it just as much as any other American Citizen pays for it. He'll be fined thousands of dollars, he'll lose his license for at least 6 months, and it goes on his permanent record.

Are you suggesting that because he's a famous person that he deserves to be punished more?

Maybe Ronnie wasn't drinking to party, maybe he was drinking over how bad Ginn is, and how much of the work-load he fails to take off or Ronnie (perhaps being an indirect cause of his foot-mangling)

He's an idiot, deserves whatever punishment comes down the pike, he'll serve it. then we'll move on. No excuses for him. That's really the end of it.

I'm still waiting on V Jackson, who has had TWO DUIs and one driving on a suspended license charge.

So instead we should just assume that because of this one incident (that still has not been proven in a court of law) that he 'must' have some how broken every other law known to man (Damned the truth or the facts) at one point in time and punish him accordingly? Sorry pal, last time I checked this was still the good ole US of A and we don't do sh*t like that here.

He should get no more or no less than the average guy. It just seems that many times stars usually end up getting off a little bit easier. I really think it should be manditory jail time for dwi, but I don't Want to start that whole debate.

That's a really great point LS13. Seems we're all guilty of rushing to judgment (I know I simply jumped to the conclusion he was guilty). And, the truth is, he has not been proven guilty of anything. Now, assuming he is guilty, the only thing I can hope (and what I would think we would all hope) is that he will learn from this. My first hope is that he realizes how truly fortunate he is that he didn't kill himself or someone else. I hope he never again gets behind the wheel impaired. I would also hope he takes this and turns into a positive by taking the time to talk to kids about the perils of drinking and driving.

I would also say that how this affects his playing time is really rather unimportant to me. Some things are just more important than football.

    JMHO...

There was a time I'd agree with this statement, but not anymore.

If I bring a gun to a nightclub and wind up shooting myself, there's a good chance I'm not getting the full 2 year sentence. Plax did.

If I did the same thing as Mike Vick, there's a good chance I'm not going to prison as long as he did.

Our system made examples out of Michael Vick and Plaxico Burress.

I doubt that one. The thing about vick a lot of people miss is he was doing this across state lines. Ten dollars says you end up going longer as you won't be able to fend off the federal and state governments like he was.

  26. Well, we could go on and on about this one, but it's obvious that we ALL agree that this is a very serious offense... and it does not matter if the accused is white, black, old, young, famous or an "average Joe." Ronnie will be punished for his very thoughtless, poor decision, as well he should be. However, it is not up to us to "decide his fate." Whatever penalties are imposed, I believe Ronnie will respond with the class he has always shown, face the music and move forward. While I am extremely disappointed to read of this experience, I, for one, will be in his corner, confident that he has learned his lesson and wishing him well.

Talk about reading something that isn't even there. He never suggested that Ronnie broke every law known to man. He merely stated his curiosity if Ronnie Brown has driven drunk before but was never caught so easy with the dramatics.

This is so far out of character for Ronnie, I worry about what sort of mental or emotional state the guy is in and why.

It's just NOT him to do this.

Wow, I have no idea where the angry attack came from there. Don;t know how to respond (or whether to) krypto. I don't understand the venom.

Regarding Ronnie, I wonder what could have been going on with Ronnie for him to act in a way totally inconsistent with everything we have ever heard, read and seen of him? I know he has said he thinks of himself as taking on more of a leadership role and has criticized other players for being poor role models in some ways, so I imagine he would be taking this hard. I don;t know that we'll ever hear the full story behind it though.

Oh well, I wish him well, whatever's going on.

What was said was more than a simple curiosity on whether or not he had driven drunk before. The poster went on record as stating that he would be willing to bet that Ronnie had broken this law before. He did this without any proof whats so ever.

I then went on to say he hasn't even been convicted in this case yet. In this country we must presume innocence until convicted in a court or law. Taking it a step further and claiming that because of this one accusation that he somehow must be guilty of other such crimes is at the very least absurd.

As stated by the FO we need to let this play itself in our judicial system before we pass judgment.

You THINK you sound smart by asking that sarcastic question but please show any proof where I made a post that implied I know him on a personal level or implied I know his character. I cannot fathom how the other poster can make a comment that Ronnie drinking and driving is out of character. It may have come off rude but what's the truth here? He doesn't know Ronnie on a personal level and I pointed that fact out. You're just making sarcastic, irrelevant comments like a female does. Congrats.

You do realize that other people might actually read posts in these forums right? They might actually remember some of them as well.

I asked you a simple question because I was pretty sure you have said things in defense of Ricky and his little (lol) situation when he quit the team.

    And I quote you:

You have a history of calling people out with little hidden insults to TRY and prove some points. You can talk football with some intelligence but all I did was ask you a question. There was no need for the little girl bullcrap. But if you insist, go right ahead.
