Nappy, when can you play?

 

Well I played ASU for fun. I have to say his defense is really tough. I won the first game 31-13, but scored only 17 points on offense. The others came off a lucky INT for a TD and a KR TD.

Second game I won 30-21. However I accidently scored a TD late in the game as time expired, and it was really 24-21. I missed the XP on purpose LOL

Jags might have some competition. Especially if his offense gets on par with his defense.

 

AHHHHH. Opening kickoff and Andre Johnson gets hurt...herniated disk and out 7 weeks! Why the hell is he even out there on kickoffs in the first place!! So, im not going to lie, that pre-game injury messed up all of my player packages I have been working on. Soooo frustrating. From that opening kickoff, I could tell today just wasn't going to be my day lol. Deflated from the very beginning. No wind in my teams' sails.

Good game starry. I'm just dissapointed.

Don't let the receivers you have dictate what you do too much. So much of the passing game for me, is timing rather than talent. If you can find plays that you can read, you can do without Andre just fine.

Take it from the guy who traded Calvin Johnson for a #2 overall pick, which ended up being a LT.

 

Good game and yeah pretty crappy to get your star WR carted off on the opening kickoff, sure that helped weaken your passing attack some. I was wondering if you had put him as the KR. I was mad at myself for throwing four interceptions, lot of them were just bad throws I forced. My first round draft pick had three interceptions so guess it evens out. I use Mercedes Lewis (TE) some but was surprised at the game he had, he had 15 yards last week by comparison. 7-0 going into the bye week, time to rest the troops. After that I play a human every week except week 16 when I play the Dolphins, going get interesting. I'll upload some highlights later for ya Barry, here's a picture of the player of the game, Alonzi Simms. (kinda, no pictures since he's a rookie but this guy has same number, same size, same position)

 

RV just texted me to play our game, so that should be done tonight. We'll get underway in a few. Let the clash of the Titans...er Lions begin!

 

I need to know when Nappy can play.

 

The problem is how can you sim a game when one person has been available all week trying to make it work, and the other person just can't.

That isn't really fair.

 

So the Lions remain undefeated, winning 38-16

Why aren't I excited? He knocked out my starting halfback for the rest of the season. The least I could do in return was knock Matt Ryan out for the game. There were so many injuries, starting with the opening kickoff when one of his guys got hurt. I pulled Stafford in the 3rd quarter because I was afraid he'd get hurt too.

I dont mean to sound like a douche, but Nappy is killing me. 4 times I've asked him to play me, and then he just signs out.

 

before anybody starts criticizing me, i ran the score up against the cpu. my opponent had quit towards the end of the 3rd quarter after he couldn't convert a fourth down with the score being 31-10. I was going to run it out from there on but since he quit i deciding to add to my stats. thank you for your time.

 

how do you know who your first round pick was? See, that is what I am trying to figure out. Since i missed the draft, I have no idea who my draft picks were, let alone where they were drafted. I'd like to be playing my 1st round pick, but i dont know who that is. Anyone know how I can find that stuff out?

 

Well for me I just wrote them down, I have a little notepad file that keeps up with roster changes. Like BigDogs said on easports.com they usually have older ages and they won't have a picture, or if they do it's an animated one (some real players don't have pictures either though.) I would say your draft picks were Desi Bass (RG), Gary McDonald (LT), Luke Newton (LT), Michael Rugg (FB), Ameriol Jones (SS), Richard Robinson (LE), and Justyn Price (K). Would assume Ameriol Jones was your first round pick.

 

Thats interesting. Definitely havn't been playing any of those guys, maybe ameriol by default, ill have to check. They all have bad ratings though, so. Justyn Price looks solid though. I really wish i could practice with my current team.

Just Giants vs Packers, then I have to endure a bye week.

I saw the score and was thinking wow Bo$$, feel a little better now. Will the Jaguars streak end at week 9 when the Chargers come to town? Kind of funny the three undefeated teams are the Browns, Lions, and Jaguars. Jaguars are decent in real life, other two teams not so much. Good job GMing and playing you two.

Not exactly sure you can call what I did as playing. It was more like taking a beat down. I swear you knew every play I called as you lined the SS into the running lane each and every time. Then you're D-Line was unbelievable as I barely had time to get the ball out of Bulger's hands. You sacked him on a toss play before he could even pitch it to SJax. That's just plain sick!

At least I can look forward to battling Mor for 1st pick.

 

Second Chances/Kendrick Makes An Impact

Prior to their game against the Falcons, the Detroit Lions signed UDFA Terrance Kendrick to an undisclosed contract. The 6'3 rookie made an immediate impact, hauling in 5 passes for 70 yards only days after joining the team. Kendrick, a top recruit out of high school, was generally considered an under achiever while at Texas Tech. His years there were marked not only with poor play, but off field troubles as well. Even his 4.43 official time at the combine couldn't sneak him into the 7th round as rumors of cocaine use spun out of control.

Kendrick spent the first 6 weeks of the season training round the clock, and when he wasn't in the gym improving his game, he was in rehab improving himself as a person. So after the months of praying for one last chance, he was given one.

"I thought it was a prank. You know...some friends tryin to go get one over on me. I almost hung up (laughing). Yeah sure...Detroit Lions. No-one wants me...that's what I'm thinking. I'm not even a has been, I'm a never was. But it wasn't a joke. They told me they had some injury problems and needed depth on the team. So I went in for a workout..the rest is history"

Whether or not Kendrick can continue making an impact remains to be seen, however one thing is sure. Some people DO get second chances.

Same here and I think it'll be a good game, I'll have to play some so I don't get rusty during my bye lol. Play you, then Broncos, then week 12 Chiefs so I'll get to see what the AFC West has to offer. Speaking of which, DisPak take care of those Titans next week.

Was thinking of making a signature so googled free photoshop and downloaded Gimp, never messed with anything other than paint but youtubed some videos and learned as I went. Made this one* first which was sized down real small and color clashed with avatar. Then made one I have now. They're crappy, but I do have a signature now, and I guess I have a new toy to play with during the bye.

So how long do the Giants/Packers get to play? I'd actually like them to play it because it should be a great game. However at a certain point we'd have to sim it. I'm not saying that point has come, but it IS the last human game.

 

raffia has made multiple attempts. i need to hear from nappy soon....or ill boot 'em and let raf play the cpu. i got a bye week next week so i wanna get moving!!

Exactly. I only play one human opponent in the next 12 or so games. I need to play at least one CPU.

Game finally played. Man I wish I put up the highlites of this game. Some insane plays dudes. A 87 yard TD run by Stewart followed up with a 88 yard Interception return for a TD by Webster. Eli Manning had 4 Tds to 1 pick, Stewart and Jacobs both passed 100 yards, and my D was insane. 4 turnovers total.
