Fins Friday Five With Chad Henne http://www.miamidolphins.com/news/fins-friday-five-chad-henne Good read.... looking forward to a big season from chad
Man... Anyone else hope this kid really IS it....and plays an amazing 12-15 seasons and retires as another beloved QB of the Miami Dolphins. I just like his personality...its not the John Beck type where he was almost....too nice...its the guy who seems really genuine, but you know has fire in his eyes at game time. The ice cold demeanor of a fighter pilot at game time, and the laid back lets have a beer after the game type of guy. I remember reading about him playing with Chad Pennington's kids in the locker room, and that to me says alot, not sure why, but the people Ive always met that can get down on the floor at eye level with a kid and play with them, always seemed to be the ones most down to earth.
I think if he stays injury free that anything less than a 3,000yrd 18TD season would be a dissapointment. I really think he could pass that up.
Next to my Marino shrine I have a spot just waiting and hoping. I'm with you on liking his attitude and anticipate people outside Miami taking notice next season.
I believe he is it. 15 years from now we are going to be happy to know that we had one of the best quarterbacks to play for the Dolphins since Dan Marino and that says a lot.
Like you, I believe he could pass that. I mean Chad Pennington had over 3,600 yards a couple of years ago. I think he could match that. I also could see him possibly pass the 4,000 mark and possibly 30 TD's.
If we get him a #1 target this season, and he doesn't hit that, I think there will be a team wide suicide watch for Phins Fans. Seriously though, it's nice to not be worried about the QB situation.
I agree. We need at least 20 td's and less than 10 ints out of Henne next year or I believe we should look elsewhere for a QB for 2011.
Henne given Sunday baby...Henne given Sunday. In all seriousness, probably the thing I like most about him is he appears to have a very short memory. Which should serve him well. Hey, he's gonna make mistakes. He's gonna make some throws he shouldn't. He's your typical gunslinger in that regard. But, it's his ability to bounce back quickly, to regroup, and to make up for his bad play with an amazing play that I think is what will ultimately make him great. Bottom line, one way of another we should know what we have in #7 when the '10 season is over. And, I'm really hoping the kids reaches his full potential. It would be really cool to once again have a QB to be proud of wearing aqua and orange.
I absolutely love his attitude. He gets it. He knows he has to work hard to be successful and he does that. He accepts challenges and welcomes competition. You have to love those qualities in a franchise quarterback. A guy who's going to work his *** off and get his teammates to follow him. He does a lot of charity work and always says that the community gives to them by rooting for them and attending games and it's important to give back. He just gets it. I love you Chad Henne.
Yeah, I like it too. But, I can't take credit for it. I saw someone had it as their user title and it caught my attention. I do like the way it sounds though.
looks like the IceMan is ready to take advantage of his opportunity to start he's been brought along well & made his bones last year the guy should be on fire w/a sense of urgency having Pennington & Thigpen in camp should be a great year to establish himself as the Franchise QB competition is the elixir of success; just do it
